4 out of 5 eggsAlright

Pros: I have them running at 1600 but i had to set them myself after talking to support. OCZ tech helped me set correct timings also but referred me to AM3 platform type of memory so going to be switching soon.

Cons: Not sure if its ram but keep getting corrupted window files. The tech next store thinks its from memory or hard drive velico-raptor 150g had a few errors when checked it so going to rma both back and see what happens.

4 out of 5 eggswork fine

Pros: Price is better than some comparable sticks.

Cons: NOT a con, but make sure you Motherboard supports the full speed, or your wasting your money. (unless your like me and like the added stability of underclocking your RAM a little from its max settings).

Other Thoughts: Running 4 GB at 1600 with 1:4 ratio to AMD 955 BE @ 3.2 Ghz on MSI 790FX-GD70 (can't go higher w/o overclocking cpu a little). 9-9-9-30 @ 1.9 volts. Everest benchmarks it at 11,901 MB/s read, 4,201 MB/s write, with a latency of 17.1 ns. I could get better timings, but I like mega stability, and it is plently fast as I have it set up.

5 out of 5 eggsAMD Dragon Platform Rocks!

Pros: i hope this review helps anyone that owns this or thinking about purchasing this. i have been building computers since the mid 90's. I have

overclocked and gamed (is that a word) on this computer for over a month now with total stability.

SPECS:
MSI 790FX-GD70 BIOS 1.3 / FSB 250 / North Bridge 2500Mhz (250*10) @ 1.275v / CPU 3.75Ghz (250 x 15) @ 1.4875 volts / HT 2000Mhz @8 Multiplier

AMD X3 720 Black Edition overclocked from 2.8Ghz to 3.75Ghz with the AMD oem heatsink/fan (250FSB * 15 multiplier with 1.4875 volts)! When my room

gets hot i bump the multiplier down to 14 (3.5Ghz). Yes, you read that correctly! The stock heatsink/fan never gets over 45*C

OCZ Platinum 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 2000 Model OCZ3P20004GK / running at 1666Mhz (250 front side bus) 1:4 ratio @ 1.93 volts. Timings verified with

CPU-Z:
(CL) 6 / tRCD 6 / tRP 6 / tRAS16 / tRC 27. This motherboard will not post beyond 1666Mhz memory (at least with this memory). i sometimes clock

down to 1333 with C

Cons: the AMD AM3 platform doesn't gain much performance from increased memory clocks like Big Blue's i7 chipset. But, i purchased this mobo AND the cpu

for the same price as one of Big Blue's i7 cpu's! Plus, i don't have to buy pricey triple channel memory. My gaming frames per second are equal to

the i7 920 in everything but Farcry 2. Read the Anandtech X3 720 review.

Other Thoughts: SPECS CONTINUED:

two (crossfire) PowerColor 4890's overclocked to 1Ghz GPU / 1.2Ghz memory = pwnsauce :-) i'm going to buy a third card.

one Western Digital VelociRaptor for my C drive. i dont need raid because im not video editing on this computer.

LG Blu-ray/HD DVD-ROM Model GGC-H20L OEM for watching Fast Times at Ridgemont High and Dazed and Confused on HD-DVD.

Antec 900 with three COOLER MASTER R4-L2R-20CR-GP Red LED Case Fans (replaced the stock blue fans) in the front (all 3 hard drive bays) and one on

the side and back. i got the 3rd hard drive cage from my other Antec 900 so this computer has three fans in the front. the case looks red beast

this way! i'm running the LG DVD drive externally (e-sata).

ABS Tagan BZ Series BZ1300 1300W power supply. i'm going to replace the blue LED's in it with red LED's. So my AMD Dragon Platform is totally red!

i turned the blue LED's on the motherboard off with the BIOS option.

X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty PCI-X sound

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic

Pros: I'm using this ram on an AM3 build and it runs cool and works fine. I currently have it running at 1600mhz at 6-6-6-18-1 timings at 1.92 volts!!!! everest rates this around 9.8GB/s read and 11GB/s copy! runs GREAT!

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: All of the people complaining can't know what they're doing. This ram is very easy to setup.

2 out of 5 eggsrefuses to go north of 1200

Pros: Nice looking memory works well even at the lower speeds. low cost.

Cons: When i attempt to set it anywhere above 1200 my computer will either not boot (if done via bios) or lock up if done via a software overclocking utility. my board is supposed to support up to 1333 native and i know that in either case my cpu isn't the problem because with other memory i was able to go 500 mhz higher with the cpu and i decided to stop there for reasons of not pushing my cpu too much

Other Thoughts: i've been busy recently so i didn't use my computer much and now that its summer i have time to try and deal with this sort of thing. I am considering filing with ocz for replacements

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, we are sorry you are having trouble running rated speeds. Please insure that you have set memory voltage in your BIOS to the value indicated on the label on each stick of memory. Not doing so will result in errors at higher speeds. We will be happy to assist you with troubleshooting and settings on our support forums at the link below. Feel free to pay us a visit and post in the memory section.
Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM

Pros: Great gaming memory.

Cons: The memory is only recognized as DDR 1367 (I think) which is disappointing considering that's not what it's advertised as. In spite of this, I have not needed to fine tune the settings on the memory as others have (i.e. voltage, O/C, etc.).

Other Thoughts: These 4 gigs I have in my pc run my games at maxed settings seamlessly with a quad core cpu so I don't really see the need for overclocking the RAM.

4 out of 5 eggsInitial Boot/SPD Settings

Pros: I've made several comments on these Modules.
They do work good.
They are solid and don't get Hot.
2GB sticks @2000MHz
Great price as under $100

Cons: You decide. Don't like them ...get a RMA.

Not XMP or EPP compliant as they are 2GB sticks.
If you want XMP or EPP Profile get the 1GB sticks.

Other Thoughts: With my 1 year old self-built PC they booted up at 533Mhz/(1066MHz). Had to Manually enter BIOS and
change settings and increase Memory Voltage to 1.9v
(added .3v-.35v).
Have operating Stable at 1600MHz. Timings 8-8-8-24 1T. Above that was unreliable and unstable at 1800MHz. This is likely due to my Gigabyte Ga-X48T-DQ6 mobo (Intel X48 chipset).

Remember that the SPD programming is set low so they will boot on initial startup. Use BIOS to make changes accordingly.

5 out of 5 eggsPimpin.

Pros: Stable @ 1600 Mhz 6-5-6-15 1t 1.9v. Isn't hot to the touch. Also, heatsinks are blingin.

Cons: I'm still used to DDR1. All these extra timings are a PITA.

Other Thoughts: Runs solid on my PHII X3 with a 790GX board (ASrock). Bought the 2000 for a little bit of headroom in the long term, tighter timings in the short term. Great memory.

1 out of 5 eggsThese are not AS Labeled / Advertised

Pros: They are cheap and they work !

Cons: These are PC3 8500 (533 MHz) DDR3 1067. Native. Which are reported by CPU-z, PC Wizard and Everest. These need to be overclocked to run at the stated speed. If your lucky you may be able to run it @ 1600 MHz. Just like the others, I not able to run these 1600 MHz. If your looking for some 2000 MHz ram. Keep looking . This ram will only cause you headache. I you like ram that has a sticker stating it's PC3 16000 ram and makes you think you fast ram, then go ahead and buy these. This ram is just a terrible marketing ploy.

Other Thoughts: The best I got out of these is 1468 MHz @6-6-6-14. 1.9v. Stable. Highest I got was 1500MHz @ 9-9-9-28, 1.9v. Unstable

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, this appears to be review of a different 1600mhz part and not the 2000mhz part on this page.
Thank you
