OCZ SSD, fast, cheap, and reliable!
- Pros: OCZ is one of the best brands for SSD Hard Drives at the time I'm writing this review. The timing of this review is perfect, with firmware 1.4 out and windows 7 trim capabilities. I'm sure most of you aren't aware of how SSD drive actually functions versus a mechanical disk drive. I'll discuss more below. This is a great drive, unless you're gonna go Intel. This is a great buy!
I get roughly 210mb/s read and 170mb/s write consistently.
- Cons: SSD is still pricey and other than that, I have no cons. It's basically still in beta support.
- Other Thoughts: With SSD, the drives get slower as they age. Tradition De-fragmentation software does not work with SSD drives. Even after a 24hour use of SSD, you will notice a substantial drop in speed. There is beta software that allows SSD defragmentation (WIPER), but even that is limited. The best approach is to make sure you buy a HD that has TRIM capabilities. Windows 7 supports TRIM. TRIM basically defrags your SSD real-time as you delete files, etc. OCZ has a huge community (OCZ forum) pushing SSD advancement. New firmwares are constantly coming out.

Agility is great
- Pros: Loading Windows, shutting down and installing Windows is extremely fast. Everything is very snappy from loading application to gaming especially in WOW.
Drive was much cheaper than the 120GB Vertex.
- Cons: Price of SSD per GB but its worth it.
- Other Thoughts: You need to do an alignment for these drives before you format and install Windows or reimage.

Impressive Upgrade!!!!
- Pros: Windows 7 and lots of hardware to support windows..8 GB of ECC Server RAM, this drive makes an awesome System or Boot drive. I also load programs on this drive. ... no storage,,, i have 7 other Seagates to handle that! I also have 2 AMD Opteron Quad Core Server Processors with a Shanghai Core and 2.4 Ghz. Currently, my processors mark the lowest score of 7.1 on the windows experience index. This drive brought it up from 5.5 to a 7.2 only for the Hard Drive.
Boots Windows instead of a minute and half,,,, now 30 seconds,,, and that's because my Bios hangs it for 7 seconds!!!!
- Cons: A little bit expensive. Ok, for now, in the future, I expect like regular harddrives,,, more space and faster drives for a more affordable price. I consider this price to be outrageous, but I have a need for speed! Not the Drug.
- Other Thoughts: This is a very fast drive and my benchmarks show Read speeds at 239.8MB/s and Write speeds at 165.6MB/s which are both higher than stated on the box. No tweaking, just plug and play,,,, install windows and that's it. No overclocking ever in my machines. Items should perform straight out of the box or not at all.
garbage customer service DO NOT BUY
- Pros: Decent product, but do not buy!!! Customer service whoa garbage out of control!
- Cons: I wish I could return this item, simply because of customer service! I had to deal with "Rose" a MANAGER from the rebate centre. I have never felt so violated in my life. I was treated like a da** prison mate. Worst customer service ever period that I have ever dealt with! And they shipped my cards to the wrong address but still said it wasn't their fault. And I simply asked for my 3 dollar fee rush back *this is almost 3 months from ordering later* And still no rebate when I purchased rushed. My gosh OCZ, I wish I could give you negative 5 eggs. This was terrible. Will never order again, PERIOD. No matter how good the product I would rather buy second place stuff at higher price than deal with what I just dealt with. Thank Rose, please.
- Other Thoughts: Please do yourself a favor, spend a little more cash and go with somethen better.

Great SSD: As advertised
- Pros: Great ssd, I'm happy I made the jump from traditional hard drives!
The read and write speed are as advertised and everything is now so much faster with this drive!
It made me enjoy my laptop again!
- Cons: None yet and it's been a while now that I've had this drive...
- Other Thoughts: Can't wait to get another ssd for my desktop, but I'll need a ssd way bigger than 120gb for the desktop and for the moment more than 120gb cost too much...
