Get gaming with G.Skill. Their dual channel DDR2 1000 memory kit runs at an enhanced 5-5-5-15 latency for impressive performance. The dual 2GB modules allow greater performance than a single memory module since it increases bandwidth. The distinctive heat spreaders minimize heat for better performance.
Pros: This is a great 2x2gb set. Very affordable, stable and just flat out works. Not many NEED more than 1000-1066 speed, it lines up with a lot of OC'd rigs out there and my kit is memtest stable at 2.0v, 5-5-5-15. Some have extracted 1100-1150 out of these kits. I don't need that kind of memory speed, plus these run cool to the touch under load at 1000 2.0v, no need for more active cooling like my DDR2 800 HZ's! These are not D9's and prove you don't need D9's for an OC'd system.
Cons: I didn't like the blue HS's in the pictures...but they're a darker blue that actually looks good...so no complaints!
Other Thoughts: Just get them, the price is right, the stability is there...is memtest stable -0.1v from recommendations at rated timings and speed, is somewhat OC-able if you need 1066 save your money and get these. Most won't need DDR1100-1200 unless you're a bencher...in that case spend 4X more for some PC9600 OC Ram. These are perfect for most, OC-ers, gamers. These just flat out do what they're supposed to!

Really good RAM after tweaking
Reviewed By: Emmanuel on 1/21/2008
Tech Level: high - Ownership: 1 week to 1 month
This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Well, first of all, the price for this RAM is great, you do really get the performance that you paid for. I have an Asus P5E X38 motherboard, and the RAM wasn't really stable on my slots 1 and 3, I switched them to 2 and 4, enabled Loadline Calibration, disabled transaction booster (relax level to 0), set my RAM to 2.06v (motherboard overvolts by 0.04v) and here I am, with a stable DDR2 800 4-4-4-12 1T running a nice 1:1 ratio with my 3.2GHz Q6600 (8*400).
Cons: None, tweaking isn't a con.
Other Thoughts: If you own an Asus P5E X38, get this RAM, you won't be dissapointed, but don't forget to update your BIOS (0502 as of now for the P5E) as it resolves major memory compatibility and OC issues.

Great Memory for a Great Price
Reviewed By: Terry H. on 12/20/2009
Tech Level: high - Ownership: more than 1 year
This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Considering the price for this memory both when I purchased the initial 4GB and with my latest purchase to up it to 8GB total in my computer, this is by far one of the best deals I could find. For the prices, G.SKILL offers the best memory with the best timings around and if you are an overclocker you can definitely get more out of this memory than you can others at this price point. I highly recommend this memory if you are looking to purchase DDR2 and I really don't think, unless you are really cranking up the voltage on your memory, that you would require anything more than this memory other than size.
Cons: I can't really think of a con on this memory. I haven't had a problem with my current set of 4GB and have never had problems with G.SKILL memory that I have purchased in the past. I recommend the memory so no cons here.
Other Thoughts: NewEgg is a great online retailer and saves a ton of money on different items both technology related and not. I highly recommend that you purchase any product from NewEgg as their support, their shipping and their overall customer care is spectacular!
