5 out of 5 eggsgreat memory

Pros: Works great, good memory, not expensive.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Filled an old Dell d620 with 4GB, had 1GB before, run way smoother in windows 7 now.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat in XPS m1210

Pros: Installed in laptop like any RAM is supposed to. It worked with corect timings and speed out of box. No fidgeting in BIOS. In XP 32-bit at the moment, about to install Win7 64 so I can use all 4gb.

Cons: None except I can get 8gb comparable quality DDR3 for the same price as these 4gb ddr2. Guess thats the price you pay for keeping aging equipment alive.

Other Thoughts: Great RAM. I buy exclusively GSkill. I never buy anything else anymore, because GSkill has a stick for every computer need.

5 out of 5 eggsRevitalized a MBP (early 2008)!!

Pros: Easy installation, Fast boot time/shut-down, Multi-tasking made more efficient

Cons: None to date.

Other Thoughts: Bought these on 1/29/13, for $48.99. They arrived quickly and I immediatly made the upgrade. It was fairly easy to upgrade my MBP (early 2008) to accomodate the new 2GB, from the pre-existing 1GB of RAM. There is a noticeable increase in boot time and shut down speed, as well as plenty of memory to run architectural programs and web design programs at once, without a glitch. I wish my MBP coul dsupport more than 2GB, or I would have done more. If I had another laptop that needed upgrading, I'd try these again.

5 out of 5 eggsBest for 2008 MacBook Pro

Pros: This is the best set of memory I could find for my early 2008 MacBook Pro (pre-unibody). It does what it spose to do - speedy things up.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Get it while it's still available!

5 out of 5 eggsDell E1505 Laptop Ugrade/Refresh

Pros: Works as expected

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This memory was purchased as an upgrade for an aging Dell E1505 laptop with an Intel T2300 Core Duo processor. Officially Dell states that the laptop is only rated for 2 GB, but I believe that is more because WinXP doesn't support more than 3.5 GB of RAM. WinXP was the latest and greatest OS when the laptop was new so I coupled this RAM upgrade with a new install of Windows 7 32-bit. Both of these upgrades worked flawlessly. Very nice upgrade to an aging, but still extremely useful laptop. Definitely seeing the benefits of more memory since I do some basic graphic work on this laptop via Photoshop Elements 2.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: they worked...

Cons: for a day. after that my 2008 black macbook (i know, its old) would not boot, all it would do is give me the "three beeps i have no ram" message

Other Thoughts: after playing with a screwdriver for a few minutes i popped one of the old sticks back in and it worked fine. for now...

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

We are sorry to hear the memory is defective. This model RAM is not approved for the Apple MacBook. The CL4 timings is lower than what Apple recommends. For your 2008 model, the correct model number is G.Skill FA-5300CL5D-4GBSQ. Please exchange for this kit or RMA your existing kit and a replacement should work better. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

Thank you
