Great Kit
- Pros: These sticks are fantastic. No troubles with them at all. I set all the timings and voltages and they just work.
- Cons: I didn't buy these FIRST.
- Other Thoughts: I wasted a lot of time trying to get another 6Gb kit to work from a different manufacturer. If I'd purchased these first, I could have saved myself a lot of time and frustration.
Just Great
- Pros: Great , fast Ram. At 8-8-8-21 timings I got it stable with 1804 MHz.. With a low DRAM Bus Voltage 1.64.. I have a watercooled system , So the HEATKILLER CPU Rev3.0 1366 Water block fits great with room to spare.
12 Gigs will for sure do any job you throw at It , with blazing speed.
- Cons: N/A
- Other Thoughts: I added a Corsair Dominator Airflow Fan Model: CMXAF1 , to keep them nice and cool. I also went with a Antec 1200 case witch has much better air movement. My Motherboard is a Asus P6T Deluxe V2 and I could not get the 12 gigs to boot with 7-7-7-21 at 1600 MHz.
I bought these some time ago on sale from newegg for $89 and now the price has went way up, Wow!!!
Fantastic!
- Pros: VERY stable, Tight timings(for DDR3), reliable, and looks. With some knowledge about timings, voltages, and having a decent mobo these can reach very high speeds. I do a lot of bench testing and pound for pound these are out preforming the majority of the more expensive modules due to the fact they will hold tight timings at speeds WELL beyond whats written on the package. DO NOT OVER VOLT! 1.65 is well enough to get you 5+GHz. just do your research.
- Cons: Heat spreader a little high but no reason to over look seeing as how it dose its job! Plus there are much higher ones out there.
- Other Thoughts: EVGA Classified x58, I 7 965 @ 5.28, Swiftech H20-220 Apex Ultima Water Cooling, THIS RAM KIT, EVGA GTX295, 1000W Dark Beret PSU, 32GIG JMicron SSD, 2 - 74gig raptors raid 0, 2 - WD Black 640GIG Raid 0, 2 - Segate 1.5TB raid 0, Antec 1200 case
