Scored a 73 on Win 7 experience rating for primary drive. Takes 20 secs from turning the power on to looking at a login screen. Applications pop immediately.
And did I say this was fast? Geez.
Love the G.SKILL
- Pros: This is my 3rd G.SKILL SSD that I have purchased, and I am EXTREMELY happy with all three. I have installed directly to the new drive, and imaged over an OS from an existing drive, both have worked perfectly the first time.
I have seen at least 1 hour added battery time to each machine I have added a SSD to. I have put this one in a Lenovo Netbook, and it nearly doubled my battery time.

worst SSD ever
- Pros: when it works, it was fast
- Cons: first drive: ran great for a few days of gaming, eventually it would completely freeze all read/write ops for up to 10 mins at a time. RMAed it with gskill
second drive: ran worse than the first drive, but only froze read/write ops for about 5-10 secs at a time. using the TRIM command would alleviate this freezing for a few mins, but heavy disk usage degraded performance back to an occasional freeze every 5 mins or so, lasting up to 10 seconds.
while froze, you can't do anything on your PC. games stop dead in their tracks, you can't access any menus, etc. nada, nothing. makes using your PC impossible.
- Other Thoughts: I am using Windows 7, and I have installed the latest firmware on the SSD, and used all the tips and tweaks listed in the forum. This is a terrible SSD, stay away from it at all costs.
