2 out of 5 eggsOne stick dead

Pros: Lowest price for this speed and capacity.

Cons: One stick was dead on arrival.

Other Thoughts: I had 4x4 Ripjaws X series for a few years in my Dell Optiplex 980 (work computer). About a week ago I started getting memory errors so I figured they may be reaching end of life. I ordered this set but only one stick worked. I have been satisfied with G.SKill overall, use it in my home computer as well. Just got a bad stick on this set. Great RMA process with NewEgg

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

We are sorry to hear a module did not work properly. Please send it in for RMA exchange and a replacement should work much better. Keep in mind all G.Skill memory kits are backed by a lifetime warranty, so if you encounter errors with a module, don't worry, send it in for RMA exchange and a new one should work much better. Visit the G.Skill website for complete RMA procedure, or within 30 days of purchase you can exchange it through NewEgg directly. For any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

Thank you

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage

Pros: Worked for 32 days.

Cons: Literally died 2 days after warranty ended.

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

We can surely help you with this. The return and exchange period for NewEgg is 30 days, but the manufacturer warranty from G.Skill is lifetime! As long as the memory is not physically damaged and the warranty sticker is intact, the RAM is forever protected from any defects. It is strange a module is causing problems, but don't worry, we can send you a new replacement right away. Visit the G.Skill website for complete RMA procedure. With a new kit, it should work much better. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

5 out of 5 eggsGSkill = reliable

Pros: Easy overclock abilities.

Cons: The heatsinks are NOT low profile, and can get in the way if your memory slots are too close to the CPU socket (at which point the cooler gets in the way).

Other Thoughts: I do not 5-star products lightly.

5 out of 5 eggsalways happy with GSkill

Pros: although my cpu has an HT of 4200mhz my motherboard can only do 2600mhz so this memory runs in extreme profile like a glove...I am changing my system over from 16 gig to 32 gig and tried two sticks to see how it would do and GSkill does a great job, I'll order the other two sticks. I ran the set up on auto and my system picked up the change without a hitch.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Running dual channel on a gigabyte 990fx ud3 in XMP, with water cooling and FX 8350 cpu. Vid card is a GForce 780, corsair psu and case. Runs really smooth.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat combo

Pros: For the combo i got them in, they were relatively cheap and worth the price. Better yet, even though their 1333 they easily run @ 1866 while still maintaining CL9.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsGood RAM

Pros: Really fast. Really large! Doesn't use tons of power. Has a nice heat spreader that works and looks cool. My RAM has never gotten hotter then about 29 degrees Celsius.

Cons: None really. This is good reliable RAM.

Other Thoughts: I've had 11 different applications going at once and it was only using 50% of the RAM. My PC never slowed down at at all and kept plowing through every thing I threw at it (My Core i7 4.1Ghz helped with that).

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great! (review for less experienced)

Pros: 16GB does a great job for every day tasks, running multiple programs, casual/mildly competitive gaming, etc. Got lucky enough to order with a discount so great price for the quality, plus they have lifetime warranty!

Cons: it doesn't win all my games for me...

Other Thoughts: I have had no issues with it and all my programs are running extremely fast in comparison to my 4GB RAM laptop I had previously. Used these to build my first PC and had a little bit of trouble getting them to lock into my motherboard at first, but I have been too gentle (out of fear of damaging the motherboard).

5 out of 5 eggsFlawless

Pros: DDR3 prices are on the rise. I was lucky enough to find these for just over $110. For that price, they can't be beat!

It should be noted that these are DDR3 1333 standard and not DDR3 1600. This was fine for my use as my NAS board could only handle up to 1333.

Went from 4gb to 16gb in my Freenas 9.1.1 and the performance increase was absolutely amazing.

Cons: Price is a bit high now, but so is every other 16gb of DDR3 RAM. I imagine this is due to a combination of things (recent flooding and DDR4 R&D)

5 out of 5 eggsThis memory is exactly what I asked for

Pros: Cheapest (atm I bought them) for 8GB sticks with 1333. A requirement was for 8GB sticks so I can have the option to upgrade utilizing my motherboard's full potential. Running non stop for one month since purchase arrived and the OS was installed, and they haven't quit yet. They seem reliable and the color or the metallic red looks great under any color LED light.

Cons: None I can think of.

Other Thoughts: What more do you need from RAM?

5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM

Pros: Great RAM
Good Heat spreaders
Cheap
Great memory capacity

Cons: Not the fastest 16 GB Kit out there

Other Thoughts: Bought these to replace an old half-functioning 8 GB kit. They stay cool even when I use about 75%
