2 out of 5 eggsCrashed twice

Pros: Good/fast customer service
Good while they work

Cons: 1 bad memory stick within a year.
2 bad memory sticks within a year following the replacement of the one bad memory stick.

Other Thoughts: The second time 1 of the originals and the replacement for the other bad memory went bad,
Memtest 86.
Bad memory wrecks havoc.
Getting good memory seems to be more of a c**p shoot with some companies giving you better odds that you will get memory that will last

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

We are sorry to hear you had such issues. This memory kit should be fast and reliable in your system. Since the memory specifications are above standard, make sure to manually input settings in BIOS, or enable the XMP/DOCP profile. Without doing so, it can cause the memory to fault and error over time. Please send the memory in for RMA exchange and we can send you a new kit immediately. Should you need assistance with setting things up or have any questions, please feel free to contact us directly. We will make sure the memory runs flawlessly and lasts much longer than a year.

Thank you

1 out of 5 eggsDoesn't work as designed

Pros: Cheap when I bought it

Cons: Doesn't work as expected - random reboots, blue screens etc.

Other Thoughts: I bought this thinking that it'll work as DDR 1600 - however the SPD rating is only DDR1333. That's fine thought - I just changed the system setting to use XMP rating 1, and it switched to be 1600. However it's is extremely unstable at that setting.

Strange reboots randombly - i thought my motherboard was hosed, so I went on a wild goose chase replacing my motherboard; never fixing the problem. Finally after much trial and error I figured that this memory is not stable at DDR1600 at all.

Since it took me over 30 days to figure this out, I'm out of newegg's return policy.

Really bad product - I'll stay away from GSKill from now on.

Dear Customer

We can surely assist you in getting your system stable with the G.Skill RAM. This memory is above standard, so it is necessary to manually input settings, or enable the enhanced performance profile. Depending on CPU used, further tweaks may be necessary as not all can natively support DDR3-1600 and 32GB. If you are unsure, feel free to contact the G.Skill support team to determine what is necessary to make your system completely stable. This is a very good memory kit, so with the proper settings, performance will be fantastic.

With regards to return/exchange policy, you purchased G.Skill, so you never have to worry. All G.Skill memory kits are backed by a lifetime warranty, so if a module is bad causing problems, we can have the entire kit replaced right away. With G.Skill, you will always have good working RAM for your computer.

5 out of 5 eggsso far its good

Pros: Great looking ram, nice heatsinks. as I was worried it would not fit underneath the cooler master 212 plus, it does!
GSkill said the ram would work with my system and it does.

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: I currently had 8 gigs of ram from another company, and I just wanted to max out the ram, so in 3-4 years I don't run into limitations.

4 out of 5 eggs1/4 Bad. Very nice otherwise.

Pros: Nice ram. Looks nice and performs.

Cons: One of the four modules were bad, causing intermittent crashes. It took me a long time to find that the ram was the issue because I had a failed hard drive. Pulled the affected module and no more crashing.

Other Thoughts: This ram is very nice and well worth the price, though, I wish I would have thoroughly tested it when I had got it so that I could have gotten an RMA. G Skill produces some of the best ram out there, so, they don't dissapoint.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. Glad to hear you like the look of the RAM and it is performing well in your system. This is a high speed, high capacity memory kit, so it should be great for your new build. With 32GB of DDR3-1600, your computer should be capable of anything you put to it. This memory will be able to unleash the full performance of any CPU on the market including Extreme editions. As a result, your system will not be bottlenecked by the memory. If a module is defective, don't worry! You purchased G.Skill, so you are backed by manufacturer lifetime warranty. Send the memory in for RMA exchange and a replacement should work properly. Visit the Official G.Skill website for complete RMA procedures. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

5 out of 5 eggsSimply amazing.

Pros: At the price, you can't beat this deal.
I purchased this back in November for $100.
Best bang for my buck. It does what it's supposed to do, and that is max out my motherboard for no apparent reason other than bragging rights.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: There is really no reason for anyone to get this unless they have extra money, or just want bragging rights over other people for having twice their physical RAM.

5 out of 5 eggsThe son of Zeus and Hera

Pros: -Sleek and low-profile
-32gb of rock and roll
-The orange finish makes it somewhat match my other heat-sink's copper finish.

Cons: The heat-spreader doesn't look as cool as the Ripjaw series.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: 2 sets of these (=64GB total) work flawlessly my ASUS P9X79 Pro motherboard.

No massive heatsinks on the memory meant that it easily fit under my CPU heatsink

Decent price/performance and cost/GB ratios

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Needed to activate XMP in the BIOS to get it to run at 1600MHz, it wouldn't work after just picking the 1600Mhz option manually.

5 out of 5 eggsThey just work.

Pros: No issues.
Just works
Plenty of room between ram and CPU cooler.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: The ram was detected as 1333, seleting the XMP profile bumped the speed up to the advertised 1600. Memtested without any errors.
