1 out of 5 eggsG.SKILL F3-1866C10D-16GAB

Pros: Advertised as DDR3 1866. Good price. Bought two sets.

Cons: Have a GA-990FXA-UD3 ver4 motherboard that recognizes the 32 GB memory but won't recognize anything higher than 1366 Mhz with these memory sticks. . Checked G.Skill website and found SPD speed is 1366. Very Disappointed.

Other Thoughts: I used two sets of F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL in a GA-890GPA-UD3H motherboard with no problem. If I could get these to work at the advertised speed I would rate it a 5.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

Glad to hear you got a good price on this memory kit. We will be glad to help you with your concerns. First, make sure your CPU can support DDR3-1866. Second, all DDR3 memory kits can only AUTO default up to DDR3-1600 CL11. Anything above requires manual BIOS configuration, or enabling of the DOCP/XMP profile. Also, it is not guaranteed two separate kits of RAM can work together in a single computer. Click on the link below to get a start on setting things up properly, then post a thread on the forums or contact us directly and we can assist you from there. High performance RAM is not plug and play, but if you set it up properly, it will work great.

Thank you

Quality and customer service are our top priorities.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM

Pros: Great RAM. Not had any issues with it at all.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: When you first install the RAM, it does not default to 1866, so make sure to go into the BIOS and change it.

5 out of 5 eggsG. SKILL Ares

Pros: Runs great. I have the 2400 kit 2x8 running perfectly 1.5 yr now. It's in the xmp without any additional overclocking. Slower cas latency but higher mHz supposed to be faster overall.

No stability issues at all with gigabyte z87 motherboard.

Low profile heat spreaders fit under most big air coolers!

Cons: The only RAM I ever had a problem with was Kingston, so I never bought that brand again.

5 out of 5 eggsA good pickup.

Pros: Very long Lasting. They just dont die.

Easy to use.

Cons: price....

i picked these up 2 years ago for 100 bucks (black friday) you are telling me they have not dropped in price yet? at least a black friday deal you would expect them to be close to 100 after 2 years...

Other Thoughts: been running these for 2 years now with a slight over clock, they are running like new still.....

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Slipped them in and they are running at their standard clock speed with no issues. Low profile is great for the massive heatsink that looms over the edge of the first few...

Cons: None yet. A bit more expensive than I expected. I thought RAM was cheap these days?!

Other Thoughts: I'm not overclocking or using the xmp profile yet. This particular set wasn't on the QVL for my board but an older version was so I took a chance. May try to push it up after a few weeks of normal use without issues.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic purchase, flawless for 2 years.

Pros: Good solid memory choice. Not the fastest but hasn't hampered my system performance in the least.

Cons: Not a con for me but when I purchased these on 11/22/2012 they were $54.99. Memory prices are insane these days.

Other Thoughts: i7 3770k @ 4.2ghz
