5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: CL9 RAM at a great price. Worked flawlessly out of the box. G Skill has never let me down!

Cons: Nada.

Other Thoughts: I recently bought a Dell Inspiron 15 3543 for light productivity and steam streaming. I wanted to have 8GB of RAM, but Dell wanted to charge me an extra $120 for the upgrade... sure thing Dell! I ordered the laptop with the original 4GB kit and purchased this kit, knowing I would need a DDR3L kit. The RAM has been rock solid and has passed all memtest86+ tests. I have never had any issues with G Skill RAM, personally and for countless client builds. They're RAM just works, and at their advertised specs. Kudos to G Skill!

3 out of 5 eggsNot compatible with Late 2012 Mac Mini original RAM

Pros: Inexpensive. Worked fine when it is installed alone in Late 2012 Mac Mini i7 model.

Cons: Not compatible with late 2012 Mac Mini original 2GB RAM. Only detected as DDR3 1333 instead of DDR3 1600.

Other Thoughts: Used it on a HP laptop instead eventually.

Dear Customer

We are sorry to hear you had such issues. DDR3-1600 CL9 timing is not supported by Apple, or many laptop manufacturers because it is outside of standard. For guaranteed results, it is best to use the DDR3-1600 CL11 model. G.Skill F3-1600C11S-8GRSL This model is compatible with most computers that can support low voltage DDR3-1600.

Purchase the correct RAM for the computer and you should not have any problems. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsG.SKILL RIPJAWS 8GB

Pros: I put 2 of these in a HP2560p laptop. And what a difference, this is now my fastest computer. 2 Dell desktops i7 and i5 both 1tg hard drives 16gb ram. 2 Dell 5537 laptops both the same as desktops. Put these in both Dell laptops and didn't see much difference. BUT made a big difference in this little HP laptop.

Cons: Took a long time to get here.

Other Thoughts: Not sure what made the difference, maybe its because this laptop is windows 7 pro and not windows 8.1. Plus, this is 2nd gen. i5, the others are 3 gen. both the i7's and the i5's Hell, not sure but there's a big difference between Dell's and this HP.

5 out of 5 eggsHigh-end stats lower end price

Pros: More ram than I can use, super low latency and very reliable. I have 16GB on an i5 laptop running Ubuntu Mate and virtualizing Chalete OS (Xbunutu Fork) my system never bogs down from my heavy usage and I use the hell out of it. I can have about 20 Tabs open, and run my Libre Word processors on dual screens and remote into my server using RDP. This hardware is great on Linux!

Cons: Can't find any but I'm not really putting this to the test because I'm not a gamer or a video editor. I'm just a guy who surfs a lot and plays with various software.

Other Thoughts: This ram is probably good for gaming but it definitely is great for laptops. Low power consumption, fast and remains nice and cool. Unless you are going REALLY HIGH END (i7 system, all types of cooling, stuff like that) then you should get a desktop but if you have to get a laptop then this ram might not be for you, but it won't hurt.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent memory

Pros: Excellent Memory. CL-9 and 1.35V. GSkill memories are always the lowest priced and so far have always performed flawlessly. I always buy these because I have never had to struggle with getting them to run at their advertised timings.

I bought tow individual 8Gb sticks for my MacBook Pro late 2011 and they work perfectly in dual channel at 1600MHz CL-9.

Cons: None

1 out of 5 eggsWatch your batch numbers.

Pros: None that I could tell.

It was suppose to be a great low wattage gaming RAM.

Cons: Was suppose to be the best RAM for my laptop. I checked and made sure it was compatible and the laptop supported 32gb of RAM. I got the RAM and it would boot up but not do anything. Tested one module at a time and still nothing. So I took it to my neighborhood brick and mortar and had to pay him an hours worth of work as he tested them on multiple systems and never got any system to post with them.

Other Thoughts: Newegg did give me an RMA, but it cost my 72 dollars just to get my money back. (60 for the local shop and 12 for sh+h) All the memory was Jan 2015 batch. I for got the numbers exactly. but all the numbers but the last two were the same. (Like it was the same batch run.) Though it was shipped in just a bubble envelope with no static guard, it could have easily been damaged during shipping and we never would have know.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

We are sorry to hear the memory did not work in your system. This RAM is special DDR3-1600 CL9 1.35V; it is compatible with only a select few high end laptops. For most, CL10 or CL11 timings are required. That model is G.Skill F3-1600C11S-8GRSL; exchange for this model and it should work well in your laptop if it can support DDR3-1600 and 8GB modules. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.
