5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Works great, slapped them into my laptop that has an AMD A8-6410 APU and average fps in my games increased by 50%+. Ran at the advertised speed without any input from me (which is important as my laptop does not allow me to manually set the speeds).

Cons: Didn't give my laptop the power of flight.

5 out of 5 eggsthat is what i trusted for gaming

Pros: These ram just make my laptop (dell xps L501x and L502x) run better. I have used Gskill 8gb (2x4gb) ddr3 1600 before I bought this ddr3 1866. I will say I am so happy right now- good price- fast shipping- good quality product- no problem with heating while playing game for 5 hours

Cons: only one thing I don't understand when I used CPU Z to test these rams. The Cpu Z only show the max bandwidth PC3-14200 (889 MHz) on dell xps l501x while these original support up to 14900. Where was 700 lost? . I am not a computer engineer so it was kind of confuse me a lot.

Other Thoughts: Anyway, I would recommend these ram for everyone who love game.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's 8GB, but heed G.Skill's Advice

Pros: G.Skill RAM tends to gravitate towards performance RAM, particularly at the RIPJAWS line. The claims of CAS 10 @ 1866MHz are legitimate, and even on my mother's AMD machine, which is not "officially supported" by the GSKILL RAM, I saw a speed boost from DDR3-1600 to about DDR3-1790. Not quite the 1866 advertised, but on an APU-laden machine (A8-4500m / Radeon 7640D combo), any boost in RAM availability and memory speed helps performance. In games, I notice anywhere between 3 to 5 fps boost.

Furthermore, the increase in RAM - although this could go with any 8GB RAM kit in an AMD rig, maxes out the CPU's ability both in ram quantity and speed, and as a result both stability and performance in everyday tasks increase. I notice less Hard Drive activity because the greater quantity of ram means the paging file's usage is reduced.

Also, AMD APUs will not be able to attain the maximum 1866MHz that G.Skill endorses, but that's on the box / blisterpack, so that's not a con... but for those who don't read, it may be a con when they realize this RAM is really for intel CPUs.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat laptop ram

Pros: Great price, quality, and timings.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Installed in lenovo g505s improved my 3dmark scores from stock 6gb 1600mhz ice storm 33442, cloud gate 3387, and firestrike 735; to gskill 8gb 1866mhz ice storm 40509, cloud gate 4288, and firestrike 771. With no other changes.
