1 out of 5 eggsMemory not Compatible with Dell Studio XPS8100

Pros: Delivery and order processing was prompt

Cons: Memory was not recognized by AO5 BIOS. Documented well in several forum postings. For whatever reason, Corsair 4GB memory sticks are not recognized on a Dell Studio XPS8100 though it does support 4x4GB configuration.

3 out of 5 eggs13 Months

Pros: Worked great for first year

Cons: Almost 13 months to the day after I ordered these 2 of the 4 went bad in my system, about to try to contact Crucial about their lifetime warranty since I am far out of the 30 days you get here. Will update with my results

5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM for normal users

Pros: Fast timing 9-9-9-24.
Generate very little heat.
Technically Quad Channel.

Cons: Quad Channel is useless unless you have a 2011 board, in which case I would suggest faster clocked RAM anyways.

Other Thoughts: Just in case you didnt know, Quad Channel RAM requires a Quad Channel capable board (2011 is the only one i know of). It will revert to dual-channel on any other board, assuming you insert in the correct slot.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't work

Pros: Don't know, was unable to get these to work in my system.

Cons: Due to a new manufacturing process, these modules are no longer compatible with my Dell OptiPlex 780 motherboards. Modules purchased before a certain date work fine, those purchased after don't work at all. System won't even POST, just beeps as soon as you plug in the power cord. This is the same problem I had with G.Skill modules. Very disappointed in these manufacturers testing procedures.

Other Thoughts: These modules don't work in my dozens of OptiPlex 780 systems. Am very disappointed that manufacturers couldn't test them in advance for compatibility with standard business-class workstations.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Ram

Pros: Does exactly what it's supposed to; better yet, it doesn't have the huge ugly heat sinks that all ram seems to be stuck with these days.

Cons: None that I can think of

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: RAM is great. Haven't had any issues in the nearly two years I've owned it. Have not found a single issue.

Cons: n/a

Other Thoughts: Purchased the RAM in February 2012, and nearly two years later, it's moving into my new build.
