4 out of 5 eggsCorsair does it again

Pros: The standard for high performance memory

Cons: Only ordered 1 set

Other Thoughts: I've been running Dominator for many years without ANY issues ever.
This went into a 4930k/Asus X79 Deluxe/Silverstone TD02/Powercolor 7950 build.
Set XMP profile and everything auto in UEFI and off we went.
Now it's 40 bucks more, and I regret not filling all 8 slots....

1 out of 5 eggsfollow up review.........

Pros: seem to be made well

Cons: .....I have had these things in my system for about 4 months now. I began experiencing random crashes, blue screens, memory dumps....they whole 9 yards! Memtest86 helped me narrow it down to two sticks. 2 out f4 failed within 1/2 a year???? That's just unacceptable!!! An RMA is in progress. Hopefully the replacement will be better.....

Other Thoughts: I have been using CORSAIR products consistently for the last 8 years, BUT!........Looking at other reviews of corsair products, there seems to indicate an increasing failure rate of corsair products. When I build a system, I stress test it for at least 12 hrs using prim95....this system was no exception. Everything was great for three months, and then, out of the blue.....my system started crashing randomly.......because of a corsair memory failure. I hope somebody at CORSAIR wakes up soon or CORSAIR will end up in the toilet......

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fast! XMP works great! This memory is another high quality item from CORSAIR.

Cons: I have always bought high end ASUS motherboards along with CORSAIR DOMINATOR or XMS memory. Sadly, this time...the memory was not supported out of the box. I had to do a BIOS update to get it to fully work. At the time I bought it there was only three choices for shipping...."egg saver", " 2nd day for 29.95" or "next day for 75.95"...I did the logical thing and chose the free "egg saver" shipping.....IT TOOK 9 DAYS TO GET IT... For the hassel of having to update my bios and for shipping taking so long....I knock of one egg!...KUDOS to ASUS for the "mem Ok" feature which enabled me to update my bios to make these work!!!

Other Thoughts: My system is built on the ASUS MAXIMUS Z68 Motherboard....others have reported that these would not post in there system at all....(I had to uses the ASUS "mem ok" feature to get to turn on before I could do the bios update that fixed the issue) ...be sure you have the most current bios before throwing in the towl thinking that these sticks won't work

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Seem to be well made with good heat sinks. Packaging was very good (less potential for shipping damage).

Cons: These chips are TALL! They protrude from the socket 1.95" (50mm) which is a problem colliding with most all of the big heat sink CPU fans. This has been mentioned before, just don't assume it has been worked out. The fan guys will tell you to use low profile memory.... I had to switch to a water cooler to keep these chips.

3 out of 5 eggsLooks Nice

Pros: well Built. looks nice. but...

Cons: unfortunately will not post in my ASRock X79 Extreme6 LGA 2011. though im not sure but it may be cause my cpu... Intel Core i7-3820 Sandy Bridge-E 3.6GHz... has an integrated memory controller of 1600.

Other Thoughts: So unfortunately i cannot really say much :/ but gave a 3* rating for the physical quality.
