3 out of 5 eggs1 module bad after 2.5 years

Pros: - They really were great before they failed after 2.5 years.
- Lifetime warranty can't be beat.

Cons: - 1 module failed after about 2.5 years. It would pass memtest86+, but the program only saw 2021MB of the 4069MB it should have.

Other Thoughts: - You do have to pay for the RMA return shipping and in my experience Corsair RMA support can be slow.
- You have to RMA the whole set, which would have put me down for about 2 weeks if I hadn't bought replacements.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear customer,

We're sorry to hear about your Vengeance memory kit. For convenience, we do offer express RMA's which means you'll have your replacement unit before you need to ship your bad memory kit. If you're interested, please submit a ticket at and select the option for "Express RMA" and we'll be more than happy to issue you a replacement.

Thank you,
Corsair Customer Support

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: still going strong, low voltage

Cons: the metal housing "cooler" is a bit flimsy,be careful when putting it in because its made out of 2 peices of metal that will un align from each other even when your are careful. i gave it 4 eggs because it is for a cheap price

5 out of 5 eggsFlawless

Pros: Good price! Its 16GB of Corsair RAM!

Cons: only available in 4x4GB

Other Thoughts: I would buy this product again. By the way when doing anything around your computer components do everyone a favor and wear an anti static wrist band it will save you a couple of DOA issues..;)

3 out of 5 eggsGreat before BSOD

Pros: Fast, look great, Corsair memory. 3 of 4 work.

Cons: BSOD. 1 of 4 didn't work. For about 3 weeks everything was great, started having errors, BSOD, explorer.exe errors. Tried everything, finally ran memtest and had literally 800,000 errors in 2.5 hours.
Really, it can happen to anyone and it isn't something that doesn't happen to all ram in general. I'm just disappointed that there seem to be increasing numbers of these kinds of reports.

Other Thoughts: RMA to newegg, switched to G.Skill Ripjaws

Kingston HyperX 120gb SSD

Great that I can RMA, but neweggs policy said it had to be back BY the date. Had to overnight it as I was almost over the deadline to get in their in time. 75 bucks to get a 99.00 refund. Sucks.. But hey, better than nothing. I didn't want to have to deal with going through Corsair.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat when they worked.

Pros: Corsair RAM. Easy install. Looked amazing with the Sabertooth Z77 board.

Cons: Stack errors and corrupt lists after 40 days of use. Just a sea of RED with memtest. This is NOT on the QVL for the Sabertooth Z77 board. There is a good possibility it was just bad RAM, but I will check the QVLs from now on. RMA already underway and correct/compatible RAM already ordered.

3 out of 5 eggsSlow RMA process

Pros: Fast ram that operates at low voltage

Cons: 1 stick out of the set died after a month or so (one stick would fail memtest as soon as it booted in two different machines) . Was after 30 day new egg RMA so had to deal with corsair directly. Took 5 days after they received the set to ship out replacements. Then they claimed it was being sent from overseas hub and won't show up on UPS tracking. No idea how long this machine will be dead, 2 weeks down so far.... Ram was being run at stock speeds and voltage.

Other Thoughts: Irritating I had to send all 4 sticks back to get an RMA on one of them so new machine is useless. Seems more lame it took 5 days to determine they needed to replace an obvious bad stick. I sure hope I don't have more problems.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fast, Great color match to the SABERTOOTH 990FX, runs at 1600mhz with no problems on my board after a bios update, Very overclockable!

Cons: This color comes at a premium price. You can get the exact same RAM right here on Newegg for less money... if you want black or blue. But for me, the color was worth the extra cost.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Quality RAM!

Pros: Purchased this RAM for the same reason most others are purchasing go on a Sabertooth motherboard. :)

Initially recognized the memory in my system as 1333MHz, but that was easily changed after the XMP profile was selected. These things run great at factory specs. However, I had some stability issues when overclocking my 3930k. I upped the voltage of this kit to 1.5v and everything is running rock-solid stable. Temps are still great as well. Keep in mind, this kit will run perfectly fine at the stock voltage of 1.35v if you're not overclocking too much. If you do though, 1.5v seems like the perfect number for this kit, as it seems like just a stable factory undervolted kit that looks just sick with a Sabertooth board.

Cons: Not a huge surprise to those truly familiar with the Vengeance line, but these don't overclock well at all. Luckily, with Sandy Bridge-E, you don't need to really worry about messing with the RAM at all. I knew this going in, so I was expecting it. However, keep this in mind if you're hoping to be able to push these to 1866 or more, as you're likely not going to appreciate the results.

No eggs taken away since this is fairly common knowledge to this product line and I wasn't getting these to overclock. :)

Other Thoughts: My Build:
