Will this work with an MSI Z87-GD65 motherboard?

Short answer, yeah it should.  The manufacturer tested several similar DIMMs from Corsair.  You can find this tested list on your motherboard's product page (product page/support/memory support).

Most modern motherboards have a feature such as MemOK or in your case, plug 'n' play bios, which are designed to 'figure out' peripherals and components that do not have a direct or compatible ID system.  That said, it may limit your ability to adjust latencies, voltages or clock speeds.  If tweaking is your thing, go for memory listed and tested on the above link, but most un-buffered non-ecc RAM should work.

As a side note, when buying 4 sticks of equal ram, a motherboard with a quad-channel memory interface will be a little bit faster, as it accesses memory in groups of four bits per cycle as opposed to 2 bits per cycle in a dual-channel configuration.
