1 out of 5 eggsOnly runs at 1866MHz at rated timings

Pros: Runs at up to 2000MHz with auto settings in the BIOS (although the timings are looser).

Cons: Using the XMP profile, it can only go up to 1866MHz. For that, I had to set 1.65v. 1.60v would result in errors. The motherboard wouldn't even POST with the memory voltage at 1.5 or 1.55v.
I launched AIDA64 and looked up the XMP profile timings for DDR3-1866 and 2133 (it can be found in Motherboard-->XMP) and manually set them in the BIOS. It didn't help at all.

Other Thoughts: A disappointment. I bought this because of XMP 1.3, which is supposed to have Ivy Bridge and Haswell with v1.3 support in mind.
My mobo is ASRock Z77 Extreme4 with the latest BIOS update. The i5 3570K is running fine at 4.5 GHz, no problems, but running at stock clocks and voltage doesn't make a difference for this memory's apparent ceiling.

5 out of 5 eggsNot any faster, still great RAM

Pros: Is pretty fast, supported at 2133 on my mobo but doesn't feel any faster.

Cons: None really, just not worth even the $6 extra for "faster" RAM. Only gonna see the benefits in specific synthetic tests

Other Thoughts: You can buy if you want, but you can get lower timings for cheaper. Not really worth it, still a great product from Corsair if you do.

5 out of 5 eggsGolden!

Pros: Works perfectly no tweaking needed. Posted at 2133 upon bootup first try. Has worked on both builds so far.

Cons: Wish they had more colors.

Other Thoughts: To all the people ranting about the memory not working on their motherboards...Your motherboard does not control the ram speed per se. The CPU memory controller determines what speed your ram can run. My a10-6800k natively supports 2133 ram. If your cpu does not support it natively, you need an OC on the CPU to allow for the higher memory speeds. This RAM works perfectly.

Ordering my 3rd set in the next few weeks.

4 out of 5 eggsSWEET

Pros: 9-10-9-26 1T 110ns with 5800k on ASRock FM285x 1.48volts ..... stable at 2133

Cons: Manufacturers website mentions overclocking headroom and even 2400 rating....hmmm.....it frustrated me tweaking past 2133...one egg off for weird xmp on ram

Other Thoughts: Corsair rebates are golden and I'm hopeful with this one also...I would like some solid 2400 voltage and timings but as is with low voltage, low latency at 2133 its pretty sweet

5 out of 5 eggsGood, No Problems

Pros: Fast Memory, Just note to AMD users, It seems that the AMD CPUs will not support speeds faster than 1866.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Has been stable, faster than I need.

1 out of 5 eggsSlow

Pros: Cheap if rebate went through

Cons: Do not let numbers fool you. This memory is slower than CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8R, which runs at 8-8-8-24@1600. Actually this memory is cheaper than Corsair's 8-8-8-24@1600. It's funny. 2133Mhz means nothing at all.

This memory works at 9-9-9-24@1600, however, in this case, the price point of this memory cannot be justified. Because you can just buy 9-9-9 one for less. In all, if you can get this set less than 9-9-9-24@1600 then go for it. because this is the maximum timing you can get at 1600mhz.

Other Thoughts: I never examined warranty information, but just checked after reading the most recent review. Amazing. Warranty covers this product (actually all Corsair's product) ONLY IF I ship it to Taiwan (or Hong Kong) with all my expenses. What a joke. If I knew this, I'd never bother to try Corsair.

Moreover, the warranty info tells me I am an Australian customer. Hmm...

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Corsair Customer,
We are sorry to hear that you are having this issue with your Memory. I would recommend that you contact our tech support by phone using the toll free number on our contact page: http://www.corsair.com/us/company/contact/
Their hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday, Pacific time. They would be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding the memory settings or to set up an RMA if need be. If you are located in the U.S. then you will not need to send the memory to Taiwan or Hong Kong, you would send the memory to our distribution center in California.
Thank you,
Corsair Customer Support

2 out of 5 eggsNot Worth the Price

Pros: I was able go up to 2132 on a GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ mo/bo Rev 3.0 with BIOS ver FB. My timings are
for 1866 MHz,: tCL = 10 10 10 25
for 2133 MHz,: tCL = 12 12 12 27
XMS profile states 9-9-9-24,

Performance wise you might be better off with lower latency and lower clock, 1866. Reaches higher clock with DDR Voltage around 1.555v
I will be validating 1.500v at the top speed with Win 7 memtest.

Cons: I have two GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ mo/bo (Rev. 1.1 and Rev 3.0) and neither one would accept the XMS profiles on auto DRAM timings.

Timings spec given can not be achieved as stated on their box and on Newegg. Neither mo/bo's BIOS wouldn't even post at 1600 or at 1866 with auto settings. This memory defaults to 1333 which is probably the safe and stable for most systems.

Other Thoughts: Watch out on the Warranty. Warranty coverage is only supported if you ship the memory to CHINA. The cost of
shipping is going to be more than the memory. Sooo ... no effective support and no replacement. Have you tried to ship anything to China with a tracking number. Please support companies that at least has a US/CA address for replacements and support.

Regardless of the link on Newegg, there is a card in the memory box that states Warrant Claims can ONLY be processed when the memory is returned/sent to China.

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage

Pros: *Relatively Cheap.
*Since the XMP profiles on this memory are all wrong, you get a good educaiton in memory timings, adjusting your motherboard DRAM settings, running Windows Memory Diagnostics, etc. If you want to learn more about memory architecture, buy this memory. By the time you get this memory working, you'll be an expert on the subject.

Cons: *You get what you pay for.
*If you use the XMP profile that comes with this memory you may damage your memory and your system.
*I installed this memory (2 sticks) alongside my Crucial memory (2 sticks). So, the motherboard reads the XMP/timings for the Corsair and thinks it is faster than the Crucial memory, when in fact the Corsair XMP timings are all wrong and the Corsair memory is slower. So the motherboard runs all sticks at the Crucial speed, which the Corsair memory can't handle. I had constant OS and game crashes for about 2 hours until I figured out what was happening. I had to go into the motherboar DRAM settings and set all the timings manually to the slower Corsair timing shown on the package. That fixed the issues.

Other Thoughts: This was my second Corsair memory purchase and my last.

5 out of 5 eggsFast Fast Fast

Pros: High bandwidth speed
Great price
Only 1.5v, so plenty of room for overclocking!

Cons: XMP profile reads wrong on most motherboards, have to set timings manually. But if you can throw the ram into the slots, you should be able to walk through the timings in BIOS...but only if you have a UEFI/BIOS that allows that sort of thing.

Guess this might mess you up trying to upgrade a OEM's value computer, since they generally don't have options in the BIOS for ram timings etc.

Other Thoughts: Great product, great company. Obviously a mistake was made on the XMP profile somewhere down the line, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't buy it.
