I have no idea.  I used mine in a Lenovo T430s.   From my experience, if you your laptop takes 204 pin DDR3 (PC3 12800) you should be OK.  I notice a lot of manufacturers state that you must use their overpriced RAM only but it is like saying "you can't use an Ace Hardware 1/4 bolt you have to use a Home Depot 1/4 inch bolt".  They are typically just trying to make some money on you.

Is this apple macbook pro compatible?

If your macbook pro is 204 pin compatible then yes it will.   I don't own a Macbook pro personally so I can't tell you for 110% sure.

I have a hp envy touch smart 15 with two four gigs of ddr3 1600 synchronous unbuffered memory. My laptop supports 16 gig so I was going to order this if it will work. Will it work?

This is standard mobile (laptop) RAM, so as long as your HP doesn't use desktop style RAM cars (it shouldn't), they will work.

The only limit would be if your RAM cards are non-removable or your motherboard does not have addressing space up to 16GB (it looks like you do, though).
