Powered by a SandForce SF-2200 SSD Processor and fast Toggle NAND memory, Corsair Force Series GS is great at both sequential read/write speeds and random write speed. As a result, you can enjoy real-world storage performance. With SATA 3 6Gb/s interface, Force Series GS works even better with the latest systems.

  • newegg Real-world storage performance The Corsair Force Series GS has superior sequential read and write speeds. You’ll feel the speed when you’re loading and saving large files. Solid-state drives store files in contiguous blocks of memory, so you’ll get nearly instantaneous response when you click that “Load” or “Save” button. It also offers excellent random write performance. If you’re running multiple applications at once, odds are that they’re writing small bits of data to the drive with regularity. The fast Toggle NAND memory gives Force Series GS the agility to handle them all without slowing down.
  • newegg Maintains its Performance over Time Force Series GS solid-state drives support the Windows 7 TRIM command. This allows them to store only the data they need and perform memory optimization to ensure the fastest possible write speeds.
  • newegg Cool and Quiet, with Low Power Consumption Traditional mechanical hard drives spin at thousands of revolutions per minute. This takes power, and generates noise and heat. Since SSDs have no moving parts, there's no noise or vibration, and the lower power consumption helps keep things cool inside your PC. It can also save battery life on notebooks.

1 out of 5 eggsI would stay away

Pros: Fast while it lasted

Cons: It worked great for a year, but now POST will see it as "SandForce" followed by a bunch of numbers instead of "Corsair Force" (when it worked) but setup wont detect it and it wont boot. Tried everything in the BIOS setup, switched cables, power, etc. I had to turn my PC on and off multiple times for it to finally power up (watched and waited for LED on drive itself). Then it stopped working completely, losing lots of data before got a chance to back it up.
Now Ive got a little red paperweight that I can do nothing with because the warranty expired.

Other Thoughts: I have a Kingston NOW drive in another PC and that's holding strong so I would recommend that.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Small and incredibly fast! This drive benchmarks between 521-529mbps Write and around 555mbps Read! It did not auto detect in Windows. See Cons for that.

Cons: Not really a Con. But you will need to know this. This drive will not auto appear in the File Explorer. You will need to go into your Disk Manager and format it from there. After that, no problem!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works perfectly and is very fast.

Cons: Not a con, but my mobo didn't detect this drive until I changed the sata6g it was plugged into to hot swappable, then it showed right up in disk management.

5 out of 5 eggsrecertified GS corsairs

Pros: wei 7.3 on sata 2 works good so far.. price is right and it is fast. this is my fourth GS (3) 240gb and (1) 180gb for six months none have failed on me yet... knock on wood. Buy it on the cheap and have a backup they work good.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: running to (2)240gb in raid 0 with a vantec controller UGT-ST420R (as boot drive) and still getting good read write speeds with atto approx. 250-300mb/sec on sata 2 on an old asus p-5ne.

5 out of 5 eggsGeat

Pros: Its fast
Its cheap
It also looks good inside the case.

Cons: It says refurbished on this SSD label. but thats not worth taking an egg away.

Other Thoughts: Some people are getting DOAs and or SSDs that fail shortly after they have gotten the drive. All because its refurbished doesn't mean you should shy away from this its great for the price.

5 out of 5 eggsBought two, both work great

Pros: Fast
Quick to install on my desktop and laptop

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Bought two: one for my desktop and another for my laptop. Really sped the OS up on both. Couldn't be happier.

Haven't been able to compare it to other SSD's, but the price was good on these so I'm happy.

1 out of 5 eggsDeceased

Pros: fast

Cons: completely dead after three weeks... zero life signs.. caused a major problem... using it a mobile SaaS laptop; lost a day of productivity.

Other Thoughts: after you load it clone it for a backup... as opposed to a normal back-up.
