There's fast, and then there's fast. Force Series 3 SSDs have even quicker read and write times when they're installed in PCs that use the latest SATA 3 interface. The Corsair Force Series 3 SSDs offer maximum performance for your ultimate system with up to a maximum read speed of 550 MB/s and max random 4K write of 85,000 IOPS. You'll be amazed at the improvement over traditional hard drive access times the first time you turn on your computer, and for virtually everything you do with your PC. System startup, application load times, data transfers, and even shutdown times are all faster. Also, your system will be more responsive with Force Series 3 SSDs. Add up all the time you spend all day waiting for your computer — starting up, loading game levels, saving large files and documents — and it can be significant. Using a PC can be a lot more enjoyable when it's not always making you wait.

5 out of 5 eggsRefurd Corsair Force Series 3

Pros: *Cheap
*Good Quality
*Simple Packaging
*Very Fast
*Reliable

Cons: Sata 3 connectors feel like they bend too easily so that is a bit scary.

Other Thoughts: I had this SSD running in my mining rig going for non stop 4 months straight with a few restarts here and there. I now have it as the boot drive for a freeNAS build. I highly recommend this as long as you understand its a refurb and refurbs sometimes fail. I would not use this as main source of storage for valuable information.

4 out of 5 eggsNewegg customer service is great

Pros: fast, cheap, works

Cons: 2 were DOA

Other Thoughts: I bought 5 to to put in a RAIDZ3, but 2 were DOA. Newegg replaced them immediately. I believe the whole process took a week to get my new drives. After buying recertified, I was pleasantly surprised.

1 out of 5 eggsNewEgg Customer Servicer SUCKS!!!

Pros: None

Cons: DOA Item

Other Thoughts: SSD arrived DOA. Called Newegg fro RMA to get replacement and shipped item back. Newegg refunded my payment (less than I paid) and didn't bother to ship me a replacement. Pathetic customer service. Buy elsewhere!!!

1 out of 5 eggsAdd me to the list of one star buyers

Pros: Arrived fairly quick.

Cons: DOA. Guess whatever savings I expected going with a refurb will be eaten up by shipping.

Other Thoughts: Installed in an ECS KBN-I/2100 motherboard as a replacement for a standard disk drive. Does not recognize the drive. Even when connected as a slave drive, it does not show up under "Disk Management".

All the reviews since April are DOA. Has ANYONE received a working drive since then?

Pros: None

Cons: Defective, dead, DOA. Not recognized by any Windows means...

Other Thoughts: What is the reason to sell defective? Replace for something that was tested and working!

1 out of 5 eggsItem DOA

Pros: Light

Cons: DOA

Other Thoughts: I have had several SSDs by corsair but for a budget build I figured that I would try this one. It was DOA. I will write another review when I receive replacement

1 out of 5 eggsTwo for two (referb.) did not work.

Pros: Fast shipping, fast replacement but not working = Unknown.

Cons: Both referbs did not work. also 4.5w of power rating

Other Thoughts: MOST Neweggs referbs are great, not either of these. However I found another 125GB SSD from Sandisk which was .5w, and I think it will be best for the laptop environment.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat drive!

Pros: Works right out of the box. VERY fast operation, it really sped up my computer dramatically!

Cons: It is the size of a laptop drive. Make sure you also purchase a SSD to 3.5" adapter for mounting in a desktop, if that is your intended use. I was not aware that most SSDs are laptop-drive size, and thus spent hours driving all over town looking for an adapter to install it.

Other Thoughts: Its a great little drive. Does exactly what I hoped it would do. I'm using it as an OS drive, then I also purchased a 1TB hard disk to go along with it.
