Corsair Force Series GT SSDs offers incredibly fast speed no matter what you do on your PC. It has SATA III interface which is also backward compatible with SATA II. This makes Force Series GT SSDs last through several system upgrades.

  • newegg Real-world performance Corsair Force Series GT is on another level in 4KB random write speed and sequential read speed. It is particularly adept at moving compressed data. You'll appreciate this real-world benefit if you work with music, movie and graphics files. It is an ideal choice whether you're building the ultimate gaming PC, a monster of a video or photo editing workstation, or you simply crave serious solid state storage performance.
  • newegg SATA III interface Force Series GT SSDs features SATA III interface which is also backward compatible with SATA II. Adding a Force Series GT today means that you'll still get incredible storage performance now, and you'll tap into its full performance potential with your next upgrade.
  • newegg TRIM Support Force Series GT SSDs feature support for the Windows 7 TRIM command. This allows them to store only the data they need and perform memory optimization to ensure the fastest possible write speeds.
  • newegg Cool and Quiet, with Low Power Consumption Traditional mechanical hard drives spin at thousands of revolutions per minute. This takes power, and generates noise and heat. Since SSDs have no moving parts, there's no noise or vibration, and the lower power consumption helps keep things cool inside your PC.

1 out of 5 eggsTwo DOA

Pros: Literally nothing.

Cons: First drive arrived DOA. Returned it, and got a SECOND DOA drive.
Now its past the return period and I'm stuck with a paperweight.
Corsair is trash.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA - makes nice coaster

Pros: The red color looks nice on my coffee table.

Cons: Bought this just under two months ago. Finally got around to installing it in a laptop that I just recently acquired. Could not get the BIOS to recognize it, whatever I did. Had a coworker test it with an external SATA to USB cable (known to be good). His workstation would not recognize the disk at all. Since the warranty was only good for 30 days, I now have a nice looking coaster that I spent $40 on. I know that every time you buy a refurb, you roll the dice, but this one was rather disappointing.

Other Thoughts: I've bout tons of refurbished products through newegg before, and all of them have been great. I'm thinking that this one is on Corsair.

5 out of 5 eggsPurchased several, all reliable...so far.

Pros: Purchased one initially for test purposes and I was able to refurbish a 10-year-old Pentium 4 PC (with some additional memory) to run Windows 7 64-bit Professional with perfectly adequate performance for my shop.

Wound up purchasing four more of these and my experience has been stellar.

Cons: No issues with this so far.

Other Thoughts: Moral of the story is don't be afraid to experiment with a refurbed SSD.

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible

Pros: Good price.

Cons: Died in less than two weeks out of the blue. I was unable to return it or get my money back. It's not worth the risk.

5 out of 5 eggsSUCKS

Pros: My wife hasn't stopped vacuuming since I got this for her for Christmas. The smell of vag and beer has been lifted from my living room carpet.

Cons: You have to empty it out every so often.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy for your wife as gift if she is hardcore feminist.

5 out of 5 eggsGood as new!

Pros: Extremely fast and easy to configure. Did I mention fast? Beautiful and stylish. Just as good as brand new. My HTPC doesn't know the difference!

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I loaded Windows 7 Ultimate 64 and Office Enterprise 2007 and it runs great. I never upgrade firmware on SSD drives. If it ain't broke, don't fix it... Disable sleep mode with SSD drives. Don't allow your machine to go to sleep... SSD drives burn very little energy so don't allow your machine to go to sleep. Turn it off at night if you want or allow the screen saver to come on.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Corsair products are good and this SSD proves it.
