Flawless
- Pros: Very good price, temperature remains within Apple's specifications even under heavy load. RAM was recognized right away as 800MHz, performed extensive memory test, passed without exception.
This is my 3rd set of 2x2GB, I'm now running 14GB.
- Cons: None.
- Other Thoughts: Great RAM, if only the 2x4GB sticks were cheaper, I would have opted for those.
iRam has very good customer service
- Pros: good price compared to what apple wants to sell us. works happily with stock 1*1gb kit ddr2 800 and mushkin 2*2*2gb ddr2 800. very pleased with the service I received from iRam.
- Cons: installed memory showed up as ddr2 667. had to pay to ship it back. iRam sent out a new set quickly that works just fine now at ddr2 800.
Good Inexpensive memory
- Pros: Works like a charm. No issues.
- Cons: No installation instructions. I know the MAC has its own, but even a URL to a website would have been helpful. Be careful with the pairing, its commented on in blogs but can be tricky to figure out. I installed the memory four different ways before finding a pairing that worked. After that no issues.
