1 out of 5 eggsLook elsewhere

Pros: cheap, for a reason

Cons: only lasted 2 weeks before my macbook crashed. I had to install the ram that came with it, and do an SMC reset to get it back to normal. Take the time and money you'd spend on this ram and buy something better the first time around.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Ram

Pros: Easy to install in a late 2008 unibody macbook. Works as designed. Can easily see improvement in speed. Works great with OSX Lion. I only order 1 x 4GB Stick at first to try is out. Order a second stick to max out my ram.

Cons: No cons yet

Other Thoughts: Over all I think its good ram for a good price. Apple charges $200 for 4GB (2x2GB) which is rediculous. With this iram you can have 8GB under $70.

2 out of 5 eggsYay Newegg Boo iRAM

Pros: Great if you only use one!

Cons: We bought two of these in October, each going into their own mac mini (2010). We had plans to match these at a later date with upgrading to 8 GB. Well, now was the time, and we jsut found out that they don't match. the Crucial kit (same price as one 4GB 6months ago) worked perfectly.

Other Thoughts: As usual, newegg service goes above and beyond. After 6 months they issued credit back on an RMA -restocking fee.

5 out of 5 eggsNice, easy, effective.

Pros: A snap to install. Immediately recognized by my iMac. Now I have enough RAM (12 GB total with the 8 GB upgrade I just installed) for Win XP, Linux and my Mac OS with a full suite of development programs available without slowdowns from disk thrashing. Yay! BTW, the local Mac shop wanted $200 to install 4 GB additional RAM. This buy gave twice as much RAM for half the price. And, who doesn't love that!

Cons: USPS took a bit over one week to deliver. But hey, the Ram chips work and I'm a happy 'bit-shoveler'.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks like a charm

Pros: Easy install, no hassle packaging, immediately recognized.

Cons: i incorrectly assumed my macbook pro had one 2gb stick in it and thought i'd get to 6gb RAM. instead i had to pull one 1gb stick and leave one. o well.

Other Thoughts: shoulda just bought 2.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great in MBP 5.1 2.4 Ghz

Pros: Works great - installed as per factory instructions and booted immediately. Used 2 to bump my ram up from 4GB to 8GB. VM's now have no lag and the whole system runs much faster and smoother. Apple says this model supports 4GB...some sites say it can handle 6GB, but with 2 of these I am at 8GB.

Cons: none.

2 out of 5 eggs2 x 4 does not work in Mac Mini 2010

Pros: Packaging is well thought out - modules simply push out and no cutting required to open.

Cons: Does not work in my Mac Mini (2.4 GHz, 2010) when both are paired together for a total of 8 GB. Either works just fine by itself and either works just fine when paired with either of the original 1 GB modules. One site suggested that resetting the PRAM/NVRAM has worked to resolve this issue for some other-branded modules however this did not work for the iRam modules. I am returning and trying a new brand.

5 out of 5 eggsno probs

Pros: Cheap. Stuck it into my macbook pro unibody 2008 worked without a hitch right away.

Cons: none so far.

Other Thoughts: Using it in combination of an original apple ram, so my system is allocating all 5gb w/o problems so far.
Apple made the RAM slots much harder to access in this unibody 2008 model.
