2 out of 5 eggsDissapointment

Pros: It has a lot of features for programmable keys, dedicated media keys, volume control, and usb port for convenience.

Cons: This keyboard had a short life and had poor build quality. The frame was clunky, the key cap's coating worn off in a couple of months, it had issues when trying to access the computers motherboard bios (it wouldn't work), and would need to be unplugged, then re-attached, to the computer from time to time because it would stop working. Other problems that it had, where the key caps wouldn't make contact, or would stick if not pressed directly in the center of the key when gaming or typing (frustrating).
For the cost, it should not have had these problems. In the past, I have been pleased with the quality of Logitech's products, but this is the worst one that I have ever had. For those looking for a keyboard that will last and not have as many issues, I would suggest looking at another keyboard, and not bother with this one; unless you buy a new keyboard every six months, then it should be fine.

Other Thoughts: Maybe I just got a dud, but it still sucks to get one anyway. Hopefully, someone had better luck with the G510 than I did.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid keyboard

Pros: Strong keyboard, works for what you need it for.

- Keys are responsive.
- Extra keys are pretty handy for more than just games.
- Nice design (IMO).
- Free 3 year warranty (Through Logitech).

Hadn't had much of a problem up until now, see other thoughts.

Cons: - LED lights, aren't bright, some colors lack definition.

- Coated paint begins to fade fairly quickly depending on your amount of use, and environment you live in. (Took mine about 7-8 months before it started fading.

Other Thoughts: After about 3 months after a year, my "D" key seems to have defected, soft key / broken spring. The only reason I am not taking an egg off is because, I know materials tend to break, and Logitech realizes that. Therefor, they have a 3 year warranty on it that I may take advantage of, and send me a brand new keyboard (NOT A REFURBISHED); and I do not have to pay a dime, not even for shipping.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Keyboard

Pros: Comfortable keyboard with well lit characters. The G keys make gaming a matter of "muscle memory" after you get used to the set up. Easy to use and program. After using the normal g510 for years there is no way I can go back to a normal keyboard for MMOs lol.

Cons: Now and then my UP arrow gets stuck and I have to pry it out. Only happen twice so it wasn't enough to remove an egg for.

Other Thoughts: Its a bit daunting to get used to how the g keys are set up but once you get familiar with them you will be hooked!

4 out of 5 eggsSpaceBar Issue is Fixable

Pros: This is a great keyboard, one of Logitech's non-mechanical best. Quiet keys, programmable function keys with customizable setting-based color schemes, at a good price. The LCD screen is slick, and it'll give you some extra utility, especially with a chat client active like Mumble. The other special keys (like the windows-key toggler, muting buttons for mic and headphones, player controls and volume sliders) are all icing on the cake.

The double clicking issue with the space bar is fixable! (Read the Cons)

Cons: I went through three of these before I got one I could stick with. The first one had the double-clicking space bar, so I RMA'd it immediately (NewEgg is very responsive and is generally happy to do this with a $100 defective keyboard), but the replacement had the same issue. So I got the dremel out.

I discovered, with some trial and error, that there's an artifact of the plastic frame's manufacturer that is obstructing the spacebar path. It looks like a numbered dial (and it is), under the right side, just up-right from the metal guide rail's support structure.

What you SHOULD do is return this and hope your replacement isn't affected--my third wasn't! I'm typing from it now!--but if you want to be all DIY and industrious, you can pop off the spacebar and keys around it and shave down the numbered dial.

Obviously, try to know what you're getting into first, should you try it. This will void your warranty and you could ruin something else while removing keys or trying to replace them or by shoving dremels in places they don't really belong.

1 out of 5 eggsPiece of junk

Pros: 18 Macors, Screen, 3 Macro Sets

Cons: Stops working after about a month.

Other Thoughts: I had this keyboard for about a month now, and the backlighting is always set to the original white. I can't open the Logitech Gaming Software, either. And, none of the macros work, and the screen just says G510s. I am sure I did everything right, it's just poorly constructed. Don't buy!!! If you want something that brings nothing but frustration, go ahead, buy it. If you actually want a working keyboard, go get a Razer or something.

4 out of 5 eggsgreat keyboard for gaming and typing

Pros: Very sensitive keys and very reactive. Fast responding with a great lcd built in, i can display in game info for every game, even displays the daily local news ! The g buttons are very handy with hot keys and the audio control is very neat as well.

Cons: Only works with usb 2.0 on my board. When my pc falls asleep, the board will freeze when it wakes up and have no response, but works fine if i unplug and replug. Paint wears off around the space key

Other Thoughts: Overall, best keyboard in my opinion. I recommend it for all.
