2 out of 5 eggsOEM key caps are very brittle

Pros: This is an ok keyboard, but there are some issues

Cons: The key caps are very brittle. and I started with replacing the ctrl caps as the bottom left one broke. Then my F5 cap snapped as well and I ended up buying a fell set of replacement caps from a third party. As I was pulling the OEM caps off I could tell which keys I used the most just from the base fatigue. Some of the caps were very close to breaking, and others were showing signs of cracking. I will admit... I am a fairly heavy typer, but from what I have been reading on line... it is all about the plastic they use. The ABS/OEM plastic is apparently much more brittle, so just be aware if you are a heavy typer. But it you like the design of the keyboard... getting some PBT doubleshot caps is one way to go.

1 out of 5 eggsNot compatible with Linux

Pros: Good feel for typing, not too noisy.

Cons: When used with any of several distros of Linux, this keyboard will type a constant stream of 6's once booted. Generally moving the volume roller stops the stream of 6's until the next boot.

There is a driver patch to fix this, but you have to build and install it yourself.

Other Thoughts: I have never heard of a keyboard having this type of OS specific behavior. While it's not unusual for extra keys or non-standard functionality to not carry over to Linux, I have never heard of a keyboard that fails basic functionality when used with Linux.

Logitech's response on their forums to this problem is that the keyboard is designed for Windows and Linux is not supported.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect high quality typing keyboard

Pros: Excellent key action with precise (almost ball bearing-like) feel. A very satisfying keyboard that is perfect for those who type quickly. Comfortable wrist rest. Refurbished item but like new condition. Plugged in and it worked immediately. I don't do gaming, but I type over 100,000 words a year. This is better than any other keyboard I've used (I have the cherry red keys at work, but I actually prefer the browns on this keyboard).

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Keyboard!

Pros: I bought this refurbished during the holiday sales, and I am very impressed. The MX Brown switches are a perfect compromise for feedback and sound. It's more of a 'thud' instead of a 'click', and they don't require a ton of pressure.

Even tho it was refurbished, it looked brand new with no dirt/smudges/nicks/etc. and works flawlessly.

It's sleek and looks really good, even with just white backlighting for the keys

The build quality seems tip-top, it has some actual weight and doesn't feel flimsy at all. It should last for many years.

Cons: None so far. It doesn't have an LCD, custom color schemes, or any of those other cosmetic things; but for me I could care less.

Other Thoughts: This is my first mechanical keyboard. I've been using a Logitech g15 for many years and like the customization it offered. This is no different with the added bonus of mechanical keys and what feels like better build quality.

It takes a little time to get used to the mechanical keys, but in a few days it's no problem.

If you want a good mechanical KB w/o all the frills, this is perfect.

3 out of 5 eggsBuy new!!! Don't go refurb!!!

Pros: Mechanical keyboard, MX Cherry Browns. lights are better than I expected, and I would recommend this board (NEW!) to anyone looking into it.

So far all of my keyboards and mice have been Logitech since I began building PCs 14 years ago. They've been very reliable and have lasted me for years. The G710+ is replacing my G15 mk1 which has gone dim after 8+ years. (I will miss the display even though I only used it as a clock).

Cons: Only 3 start for now as the previous owner probably RMA'd this board after locking up the keys with chocolate and who knows what else. I know this by the chocolate (I really hope it's chocolate) caked around the keys. This thing did not get the slightest cleaning before being put in the box and shipped off. The shipping could have been less if the skin/hair were taken out from under the keys. Compressed air won't move any of it.

Other Thoughts: I've had a lot of great fortune previously with refurbs until now. After reading other reviews, I went ahead and bought the refurb warranty. That means that for black Friday I saved a whopping thirteen dollars over buying new. Just buy new, don't go refurb.

1 out of 5 eggsArrived Dirty and defective

Pros: Great keyboard at a low price.

Cons: Keyboard turned up with the backlight on the Y key not working.
There was a lot of dirt under the keys, food stains on some of the keys and also lots of little black and gray hairs all over the keyboard. Seems like their blurb about refurbished products being tested to factory specs is a barefaced lie.

Other Thoughts: Sending it back for replacement. Lets see what happens.

5 out of 5 eggsManufacture sealed?

Pros: Everything about this keyboard was new and factory sealed. I'm honestly not sure how this keyboard ever became refurbished. All original packaging with the instructions and CD included. The keyboard was never used or opened after thorough inspection. I got it for sixty-five as refurbished on sale.

Gaming is awesome with this keyboard. I can literally toggle strafing twice as fast (Hitting ADADAD as fast as possible). Seems to make getting juan deags in cs a little easier.

After a couple weeks of practice, typing is smooth and precise. It feels like butter on my fingertips.

The lit up keys are very bright on the highest setting.

After long gaming sessions, the low pressure needed for the keys seems to alleviate the "Gamer claw" WASD wrist pain. You know what I'm talking about!

Cons: I would prefer blue lighting on the keys as my entire setup is blue, I prefer the color options of my Logitech g110. The dual zone lighting is kinda cheezy. Why would i want to light up just my WASD keys if my hands cover them constantly?

My typing speed has gone down compared to my g110. I type extremely fast (I was a stenographer) and the extra sensitivity of the mechanical keys makes it difficult to type in speed bursts. The keys seem to push down faster than they come back up when typing "too fast"(Go ahead call me crazy.)

Other Thoughts: I wanted a mechanical keyboard and I loved my Logitech g110 keyboard. This keyboard is exactly that.

I was extremely nervous about buying a refurbished keyboard, but I took the risk. I couldn't have asked for a better deal price wise.

I was a little discouraged with the keyboard at first use as it was over-the-top touch sensitive. I have big hands and type fast/hard, and would constantly make typos as the slightest touch presses any of the keys. After a couple weeks of practice I'm typing lighter and become more impressed with the g710+ every day.

2 out of 5 eggsLooked fine when it arrived

Pros: Keyboard looks and feels great.

Cons: The number row from 2 to 9 have broken back lights after further research it was shown that this is a design flaw from Logitech.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing - Speechless

Pros: Sound is quiet. Noticeable, but quiet.

The responsiveness is amazing,

The size is perfect (for me)

The backlighting works and works amazingly.

I just can't find something wrong with this keyboard.

Even has a USB port on it to help reduce wire management with your mouse (or other item of your choice) and plugging in both of the USB cords connected to the keyboards cord allows use.

Cons: None that I have seen. I have yet to test/mess with the macro buttons attached to it.

Other Thoughts: Highly recommend, New or refurbished (got mine refurbished... no issues at all)

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Just Fine

Pros: One of the few things I have taken a chance on with being refurbished and I am pleased. Works as advertised.

I even spilled a ton of milk on it then used some alcohol to try and clean it up and after a day or 2 of drying it still worked just fine

Cons: none really, one possible "con" would be that if you dont know already, it has 2 USB plugs to your PC, so if you are strapped for USBs on your tower, get a hub or something.

Other Thoughts: I have had very good luck with Logitech keyboards. I had one of their G14/15 i forget which. It had a fancy LCD screen and it lasted for 8 years. I even took it apart to clean it after a bad soda spill and worked fine for another year until the backlighting started flickering.
