What condition will this product come in refurbished?

When I got mine, it looked like it came fresh out of the retail box. The only reason I knew it was refurbished, was because it was stated on the receipt.

It came to me in new/like new condition. No complaints, using it to type this right now. Best keyboard I've ever owned. They do not kid around when it comes to the quality, I'm very happy with my purchase! :)

Question 2

Are these refurbs from the first batches that had backlighting issues, or are the newer ones with the fixed internals?

Remember, Logitech made two "unannounced" versions of these, just like the G600s. Old internals that caused the backlighting issues, and the newer ones that eliminated it. And the G600, firmware non-upgradeable ones - 2012 version, and firmware upgradeable ones - 2013 version.

I have no idea. I was hoping they were just the failed LED returns and then refurbed, But keep asking I will be reading... I R&D'd around on this thing especially about the problems associated. LED lights going out in strings but I went and tried anyway. It has been 3 weeks or so and no LED problem so far. I should check the date/firmware issue out. What I notices on mine was a hole in the finishing between the HOME and Scroll lock key about the size of a dull pencil end and also what appears to be a small burn/melt mark on the rubberized volume scroll wheel. Now that I am writing about it probably a smoker was a previous owner. But that was it not any issue to affect performance and for $80 marked down from $150, I don't think it was a bad deal. I stuck with Logitech because of the name. I hope they don't fail me (Fingers Crossed).

Can i get this keyboard with cherry mx blue switches or does it only have brown?

This is the brown version (noted by the orange around the "G" keys)
There IS a blue version (with blue around the "G" keys)
I think it is just called the 710 (no plus)
Logitech if you are listening please make a "Red version".

As you may have noticed, it's not a perfect rectangle, so I measured at its widest points.

H: 2" give or take
W: 20-1/4"
D: 6-3/4

Typically when buying a refurbished product from Newegg, should I expect to look previously used or will it be appear to be a unit straight out of the box?

All refurbished items sold by Newegg are repaired and restored to factory standards.
Although retail box and accessories may not be included... the item itself is in good condition.
