5 out of 5 eggs13 year

Pros: It's better than a microsoft wave. Before microban, same design, lasted 11 years before the left Ctrl button was sticking cause it was worn, still usable, mostly due to gaming in those years. I still have it, but I replaced it just because I thought a more expensive keyboard was better, it isn't. The wave 4000 took over a year to get used to, hitting the wrong keys in spelling an games, an the letters are already worn off, on the fellows you'll have to use it for a long time to wear the letters off the keys. The whole microban thing beats pretty much any other keyboard, despite this design being perfect.

Cons: It's ugly, if you care, but technically it matters more that the thing works, an ergo boards are hard to find based on the original design, back in the day this was a luxury ergo an it's reflected in it's price today 13 years later (or longer) It's the perfect ergo for typing or gaming despite being a ugly ugly thing compared the fancy pretty junk that doesn't work of "today" I can't wait to use it again an paint the wave like a cow

Other Thoughts: It's not something I have to think about, it's perfect.

1 out of 5 eggsTiny ergo junk

Pros: It has an ergo design similar to that of the M$ natural.

Cons: I bought this to replace a M$ Natural clone i had.
It feels flimsy, even though it took quite a bit of abuse before coming apart.
The touch is like using a toy, not a real keyboard.

It's SMALL. They tried to save money by making the thing smaller than small. It didn't last a week with me. I spend a great deal of time at the keys. I was constantly hitting the wrong keys, they're so very closely spaced and the touch so light. It had me so frustrated I wound up smashing the thing into itty bitty little pieces. It surprised me it took so much abuse before shattering satisfactorilly. I'll never get another one of these ever again. If it has Fellowes somewhere in the name, I'll give it a pass from here on out.

4 out of 5 eggsgood buy

Pros: This seems to be the most solidly built of this type of keyboard available. I have had it for several months and notice that the letters are not wearing off the keycaps, which was a problem with another brand.

Cons: This is a membrane - type keyboard. There don't seem to be any key-switch keyboards available in this style, though.

Other Thoughts: I spilled something on the keyboard and some of the keys began to act up. But the good news was that I was able to take the keyboard apart and clean and dry it out and got it back together and it now works fine again. That doesn't always work with membrane-type keyboards, so it seems that this particular one is better made than others.

5 out of 5 eggsStill works great after 2+ years

Pros: I greatly prefer ergonomic keyboards. I don't know why straight keyboards are still manufactured.

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsNice looking, well made keyboard

Pros: This keyboard is well made and is very similar in layout to the Microsoft Natural Elite, which seems to be unavailable again. The manufacturing quality of this keyboard is better than the Microsoft natural elite. The little round special function buttons at the top of the keyboard are a lot less annoying looking on the real keyboard than they look in the pictures and they are a lot more useful than the function buttons on the top of the later Microsoft ergonomic style keyboards.

Cons: The split space bar was not the best idea. I tend to hit the space bar in the middle, where there is no actual key on this keyboard.

4 out of 5 eggsHELLO NEWEGG - IT IS PS/2 - NOT USB

Pros: It is an overall nice KB comparable to the similar older Belkin units. The split space bar is nice - better that those huge MS Natural KB space bars.

Cons: This is not the device's fault, of course. But the bright people at newegg promote it as as USB unit while it is clearly a PS/2-interfaced device. Duh!

5 out of 5 eggsNice Surprise!

Pros: Keyboards are, ultimately, rated by feel; and this one feels great. Mine came with a USB connector and was literally plug and play with Windows 7. Five minutes after restarting the computer after it had found and installed the drivers I was typing as fast as ever and feeling a certainty that the key I hit was going to register. That... is a decided relief.

Cons: None. It works, which is more than I can say about the board it replaces.

Other Thoughts: I was using a different brand, but then the letters started coming off the keys. Coating them with clear nail polish only slowed the process. Then the space bar stopped being responsive to any stroke that didn't hit a quarter-sized spot dead in the middle of it. This board feels great and is easy to use, and as a writer that's important!

3 out of 5 eggsOut of the box

Pros: The keyboard is what Newegg described

Cons: The keyboard came in a different package. The cd that was shown as part of the package contents did not get shipped with it. Now I am forced to find the driver via internet.

5 out of 5 eggsBest quality Ergo keyboard in the lower price range

Pros: Good solid feel to the keys. Everything works.
Just the basic features you want in an inexpensive ergonomic keyboard. Cheaper ones just don't compare

Cons: The four way directional arrow keys are compact. Not my favorite.

No free toy inside

Other Thoughts: Nice flat layout to this keyboard but the center is raised a little. This is not one of those with the extreme 'wave' design to it.

5 out of 5 eggsbest pratical keyboard I've seen in a long time

Pros: I've been waiting for this!!! Feels really solid (like you could run over it with a mack truck,).The keys feel just right to me, not to hard or soft. A few usable shortcut keys (I hate when a keyboard is loaded down with them). It's doesn't take up the whole desk and I not to big for my lap either. To me a keyboard should be comfortable, solid and not break the bank (It's not cutting edge tech). This fits the bill nicely.

Cons: nit picky but......

I would prefer the arrow keys in a, one on top, three in a row, configuration. left, down, right on one row.

Lastly, I don't use the function keys frequently so I don't mind them being slightly smaller but the home, end, pg up, pg down, delete and insert keys will take some getting used to.

Other Thoughts: I started using a belkin split keyboard a long time ago and feel in love. They (belkin) replaced that model with an all around piece of junk and since then I've been looking for a replacement. This is the best I've seen in years. I've never liked the Microsoft keyboards (keys too soft and it's well... Microsoft). Last note: It's a usb (not sure what happed with the other reviewer)
