5 out of 5 eggs  Widescreen Bliss

Pros: It has plenty of space and my games play just as well as with my old dell monitor.
No need to upgrade video card if you are coming from 1920x1200
21:9 widescreen gaming is immersive, you will never go back to 16:9 or 16:10
Newegg ships fast!

Cons: There is some backlight bleeding, mainly in the lower left hand corner, but nothing that is a deal breaker.

Other Thoughts: A previous reviewer stated that it does not have HDMI in, that is incorrect. I use HDMI from my 760 gtx and everything works perfectly. I have been using my Dell 24in 16:10 1920x1200 Ultrasharp monitor for over 8 years. I wanted to move to a wider aspect ratio and 21:9 looked to fit the bill. I first looked at the 29in 2560x1080 but coming from the Dell, the width was great but it seemed too small vertically, I was losing almost 2in. I looked at the LG34um95 and it is truly a fantastic monitor but the much higher resolution would require me to upgrade my video card solution, if I wanted to continue to play my FPS games in the native res with the same eye candy turned on. So I ordered the LG34um64, and I'm glad I did. It is IMHO the perfect monitor. I was concerned going from 1200 to 1080 high that I was going to lose some resolution, but going from 1920 to 2560 wide, more then made up for it. If you love pc gaming and want to go widescreen, this monitor can't be beat for the price.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome monitor

Pros: Huge!
Great Colors
Easy to set up, plug and play for my computer w/ Windows 8.1
Games run great in 21:9 running a R9 280x

Cons: Came with a HDMI cable but wish it had a DVI-D cable included. I had to go pick one up at a local store for 3 times the price I'd get one online since i didn't want to wait for one. If you order this monitor be sure to get a DVI-D dual link cable to take advantage of the full resolution.

Other Thoughts: I was on the fence between this and the 34UMP95 which is the same size with a QHD resolution. So far most of my games adjusted to the 2560 x 1080 resolution with no problem and look amazing.

3 out of 5 eggsSeems to be a great monitor, but...

Pros: - very nice display size
- smart and easy monitor control via joystick
- great price

Cons: limited connection possibilities: there is an HDMI cable in the box, but it appears that you can use HDMI only to output from the monitor, not to send signal from computer to monitor.

5 out of 5 eggsUltra Wide Screen Glory

Pros: Using this monitor gives an entirely different feel when using it both as a regular web browser, gamer, or business related work. It definitely allows more efficiency when it comes to productivity, from movie editing to excel. Gaming wise, which is the main purpose for getting this monitor is great. I play Payday 2, Thief, League of Legends, Bioshock etc. I have yet to try any racing games, but there is not doubt that it would be excellent. The immersion is fantastic, more so than that of 3D (had previously owned a 3D monitor and used nvidia vision). There really isn't much more to say other than there is little to no regret in buying this monitor. I am glad that I didn't go with the 29", and especially the 25". It is also very light for a monitor this size and don't be turned off by the plastic feel, it looks and feels tight and rugged.

The little joystick in the bottom to change the settings is easy to use and is also used as the power button. Well done there LG.

It is wide...very wide, but it will make the desk or whatever setup you have look different and more exotic.

Cons: I've heard from others that there is pretty bad bleeding from the edges and they weren't kidding. Particularly the bottom left leaves an orange hue, the other corners aren't too bad.

This isn't a con, but I should mention that the first day of use will involve some time to get used to. Some to many websites don't utilize the extra width too well. Facebook is real bad about it. The edges are VERY empty.

The power brick does seem to run pretty hot.

Some games don't run in the 2560x1080 resolution. Not many wallpapers have this native resolution, but not really the monitors fault. 2560 x 1440 wallpapers work well enough.

Other Thoughts: The image split application is quite neat and I suggest installing it. My favorite is the neapolitan ice cream setup, then the 4 way split.

I will say that this monitor isn't for everyone, but it does leave room for improvement in the future. Many people would enjoy the lack of bezels between screens and this is one step to getting there. Overall a great product and I do give a thumbs up.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Monitor

- Ultra Wide
- Sharp picture, fast (enough) refresh rate
- Button on bottom is easy to use to change settings
- Base looks nice
- VESA mounts
- Split screen from multiple sources
- really lightweight

Cons: - speakers aren't amazing ($20 speakers are better)
- thicker than I would have liked. Replacing a 27" 1920x1080 that is about half the thickness
- I like glossy screens, this one is anti-gloss

Other Thoughts: I have been looking for monitors for months. I found this one 3 months ago and had been waiting for it to be in stock in the US. I even tried to buy two from Korea that conveniently went "out of stock" as soon as I ordered.

This thing, for the price, can't be beat. 60 FPS is plenty for me (haven't tried OC'ing it yet) and the colors are plenty good. I used to run 3 x 27" Nvidia Surround but it was a little too big. This seems to be the sweet spot for me.

The first one I ordered came broken. I ordered a new one (price dropped $100 in 2 days) and sent the busted one back. The new one came in perfect condition, zero dead pixels.
