1 out of 5 eggsPoor Warranty and Service

Pros: Looked great while it worked.

Cons: After owning for over a year and a half, the power button would not work. I sent it back. They fixed it and returned with a note that I pressed on the screen and they won;t fix it again. The screen wouldn't come on but that was because the power wouldn't come on. Screen wasn't the problem.
ANYWAY, a month later it is dead again. And as they said, they aint gonna fix it. Spend a little more money and get a better monitor?

4 out of 5 eggspretty good for my PC

Pros: Had this for more than a year now and it doesn't have any problems (no burn in, dead pixels). runsd 1024 x 1280 perfectly.

Cons: It takes a while to turn on. There could be more contrast. and the only connector is DVI

3 out of 5 eggsBasic Analog Panel, Yet Disappointing

Pros: Basic, affordable, no-frills, decent sized flat panel monitor.

Cons: This is an analog panel -- no DVI. Thus it's susceptible to RF interference from an a/c source. I find this picks up a lot of interference (seen as subtle bands moving across the screen) when my laptop (hp Compaq nc8430) is plugged in. It's annoying and I try to avoid using it or relying on it for a long period of time.

Other Thoughts: I expect most any analog monitor will have this problem to some degree. But I'd also expect much better performance given that I've got ferrites on all the cables. My advice: don't rely on this as a main monitor, but as a less-used secondary.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great monitor for its price. Not a single dead pixel and everything looks beautiful. I use this for gaming, graphics design and word processing havent given me any problems.

Cons: none really that i can think of

Other Thoughts: Right now im waiting for my second monitor and it will probably be the same model.

3 out of 5 eggsFine for office use

Pros: Inexpensive. No dead pixels. Fine for regular office tasks.

Cons: I ordered two of these for my office and the ghosting on these LCDs is the worst I've ever seen. Black text on a gray background leaves a white trail a few pixels behind. Since I use the monitors for typing all day, it's not a very big deal, but I wouldn't use them for watching movies or playing games or anything else with much motion.

Other Thoughts: I'm willing to give it an average score (rather than worse) because of the low cost. The brightness is also very good, although this makes the ghosting even more pronounced.

5 out of 5 eggsTriple Head To Go

Pros: I have dual 8800GTS's pumping out to a TripleHead2Go box (because you cant use the adapters multiple heads in SLI) Let me tell you... These things are incredible. Very few negatives, in fact only one I can think of.

Cons: It is not a simple task to switch between sources, many monitors have a source button, however this one is deep inside the menu. I normally just vnc into my server though.

Other Thoughts: Dont buy one, buy Three!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: When I first open the box and plugged it in, I would assume that there was one dead pixel, but it's been over a year and I use this monitor for gaming, I can't even find that thing if I tryed. Besides it looks so good when my games play on it, and the only glitches that I see is that my computer glitches or doesn't load enough data but the monitor just keeps the picture rolling

Cons: that i don't have two of them

Other Thoughts: I am looking into a second one as we speak, yes it'll probably be another Acer

5 out of 5 eggsAcer AL1916

Pros: Great monitor, awesome response time, great size, great performance. Does everything that a 19 inch monitor needs to do.

Cons: No screen rotation like the more expensive Dell's, and the stand is kinda weak, so if your desk shakes, the monitor will wobble a bit.

Other Thoughts: Two of these is a great dual screen configuration.
