4 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: Everything you'd expect from this really.

Cons: Shipped with a dead pixel, stand is kinda wonky.

Other Thoughts: Pretty great other than the dead pixel which seems to be a common issue?

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: 144hz / 1ms respond time / 1920x1080 resolution 24 inch monitor

Cons: none at this time.

Other Thoughts: When on sale this monitor happens to be one of the cheapest 144hz 1ms respond time monitors on the market, I picked this up for only 160$ on newegg so i'd strongly suggest this to people looking for a upgrade from 60hz to 144hz.

5 out of 5 eggsAwsome monitor!

Pros: Cheap monitor with high refresh rate
Bright screen and nice colors
3d Vision compatible

Cons: Stand doesn't adjust
Doesn't have speakers
Part of power cable is vey thin (could easily be damaged in my opinion if one is careless

Other Thoughts: I have to admit, this is a great monitor. While the stand allows little to no adjustment, the refresh rate allows for smooth gaming using my gtx980. I recently bought the 3d vision 2 kit from new egg and have to say I'm highly satisfied. If you rant a gaming monitor on the cheap, buy this one. Just make sure you have speakers since this monitor doesn't have any!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor!

Pros: What can I say, its a 144hz, 1ms monitor that is dirt cheap and awesome! (I got this when it was on sale for $169)

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I know its a little early for a review but I felt like reviewing it anyway. This is a TN panel not an IPS which isn't bad. I'm coming from a LG 27MP65 monitor which is a 1920x1080 27" IPS 60 hz monitor. This monitors colors aren't as good as my LG's but I've gotten it super close to it! (brightness 45, contrast 5, color setting - user) I must say the trade off is worth it. 144hz is amazing for gaming and I can notice the difference easily over 60hz. 1ms is a lot better than the LG's 5-6ms and the pixel density is slightly better being 24" vs 27" for 1080p. I would've loved to buy one of those 4ms IPS 144hz that Asus, BenQ, and others make but I don't feel like dishing out $600+ for one right now. I'll probably get one once 1440p monitors become more mainstream than 1080p and cheaper. So if your a gamer that wants 144hz and has a small budget, get this monitor especially if its on sale! If your worried about the color/picture quality, don't worry some tweaking on your part in the monitor's menu will help a lot!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat 144hz 1080p Monitor

Pros: Refresh rate can be set to 60, 100, 120 or 144hz
LightBoost is supported at 100hz and 120hz
Good input selection (Wish it had Displayport though)
Price (Got it for $200 from another retailer)

Cons: Acer's QC still needs work (1 dead pixel on this one)
Glossy finish (finger print magnet) on the front side of the panel
Stand has minimal adjustments
OSD could use a refresh
No display port

Other Thoughts: This is my first foray into higher than 60hz refresh rate panels on PC and I have to say that I definitely see why people say this is the ultimate experience for PC games. I've played a bit with overclocking panels but that fails in comparison to seeing a "true" 144hz panel with my own eyes.

After going into my Nvidia control panel settings and enabling 144hz I hopped right into CS:GO to test out just how smooth the action would be. I was absolutely blown away, and sat with my jaw physically opened as a marveled at how smooth the motion was. I can only imagine how great a lot of other games in my collection will look that support this high refresh rate. However, this monitor does have another trick up its sleeve.

There is another display mode on this monitor called LightBoost which essentially causes the backlighting to turn on and off at the same rate that the monitor refreshes the screen. This monitor supports it at 100hz and 120hz. This is typically used only for 3D Display mode with 3D Vision capable games, so I had to use a 3rd party tool to enable it (Custom Resolution Utility or Strobelight LightBoost utility) for 2D. Once that was all configured, I jumped back into CS:GO again to test it out. Again, I was blown away at home smooth the experience was. This time it was even better because now there was zero motion blur with all the action going on. The only downside of turning on LightBoost is that the brightness and contrast do end up taking a hit, but the benefit seen in games definitely outweighs these cons.

To get back to the monitor itself, I only have one complaint about it. Acer really needs to work on their QC. I don't know if it's just me, but 4 acer monitors (including this one) I have purchased in the last year have exhibited issues upon receiving them. This one happens to have a dead pixel on it. However, I am willing to live with the dead pixel this time instead of return it as it seems every time I do return the product I just end up receiving on that is worse off than the first one. Moral of the story is, there's bound to be some issues that people come across but for me Acer has been on a bit of a slippery slope lately.

In the end, this is a fantastic monitor that comes in at a great price point. It does its job well and really adds a whole new dimension to the PC gaming experience. If you are skeptical of the benefits of a high refresh rate panel or even LightBoost, let me assure you that you will be very satisfied once you do see the difference between a traditional panel and one such as this.

5 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for

Pros: Cheapest 144Hz monitor out there.
Power efficient - monitor doesn't get really hot, unlike some others.
Vibrant and clear colors.

Cons: No DisplayPort option.
Screen takes ~10 seconds to turn on.
Barely adjustable stand.

Other Thoughts: Cons aren't enough to take off an egg due to VERY low price.
Wait for a good sale, they seem to happen fairly often (~120$ off).
Again, cheapest 144Hz monitor out there.
You will never see 60Hz the same way again, the difference is indescribable.

4 out of 5 eggsBest Price/Performance Ratio

Pros: When its on sale at ~200$, its the cheapest 144hz monitor on the market.

I can't discern any input lag, and it runs 144hz just fine.

Good colors.

Accents of the monitor are nice.

Cons: Stand feels very bleh. A little wobbly and a bit insecure.

The OSD is fairly annoying and confusing, but you only have to go through it once.

Doesn't warrant 300 dollars at all. If you absolutely need to buy a monitor right now, and it's not at 200 dollars, pick up a BenQ monitor or ASUS monitor.

Other Thoughts: Buy this if you don't want/care about G-Sync/FreeSync and want a good a bang for buck.
