IPS Panel IPS (in-plane switching) technology is the highest performance panel technology available in the LCD displays. The specifications and details of IPS panel technology are considered best for high accuracy in color, contrast and wide viewing angles. IPS panels offer excellent picture reproduction and suitable for photography, graphics design, movie production, CAD/CAM engineering, medical and security applications. With IPS panels, you will not have any color shifts or changes in the contrast ratio when you move the image across the screen or change your viewing angle.

LED Backlight The use of LED backlight delivers vivid pictures with improved color saturation enhanced gray level and up to 20,000,000:1 contrast ratio at reduced power consumption.
Efficiency and comfort Ergonomics is defined as profession of designing tools and work environments to best accommodate human performance and behavior. The VP2365-LED is one of the great examples of an ergonomically designed tool. Based on your height, chair and desk conditions, you can adjust it up and down for 5.3 inches, swivel it 360°, or tilt it 20° degrees, whatever makes you more comfortable. Also, when designing a portrait mode image or a document (such as a flyer or a magazine page), you can rotate the monitor 90° and utilize your 23” screen size at its full extent. You can also adjust your graphics card settings so that all your graphics are rotated 90° as well.
Eco-mode for up to 40% energy savings ViewSonic’s proprietary Eco-mode function comes standard with the VP2365-LED. When you don’t need all of the powerful features VP2365-LED has to offer, you have the option to reduce the monitor’s brightness, save energy, save the planet and prolong the lamp life. You can select one of the “Optimize” or “Conserve” options and save up to 40% energy. Especially under low ambient light conditions, adjusting the brightness will improve visibility by reducing eye fatigue. Reducing brightness will also prolong the monitor’s lamp life, improving your return on investment.
Diverse connectivity The VP2365-LED features a DVI-D digital and a VGA analog input. You can connect two sources at the same time and then toggle between the two by selecting the input source through the On-Screen-Display (OSD). You can also connect one of your computer’s USB ports to the monitor’s USB uplink input which then multiplies the USB ports to four. This way, you can connect up to four USB devices to your monitor and save yourself from the hassle of reaching out to your computer’s USB ports.

Height adjustment range is perfect to fit my desktop speakers under, and the monitors are stable. Matte finish for those who rightly despise glossy abominations. LED backlight saves power. Newegg was excellent in delivery and price, per usual. No speakers is a plus for a multi-monitor setup. I'm not interested in the additional cost of sub-par speakers that make for a wider bezel. Cons: Two dead pixels on delivery, doh! Other Thoughts: I bought this to complement my discontinued VP2365wb, which is essentially the same monitor with a CCFL backlight. The stand, interface, and housing are all identical as far as I can tell, which is great, because it's rock-solid and flexibly adjustable. The pictures appear to be pretty close, although the LED monitor has slightly brighter whites. I've wanted a two or three monitor setup at home for a while. (I am spoiled with three at my work desktop!) This is perfect, since it matched my current monitor in size, form, and came close in picture (both are excellent quality and color, just slightly different.) However, it came with two dead pixels! VS' warranty only allows for returns with three or more, naturally, which sucks given that I'm paying extra for an IPS monitor. This is my first time getting burned by the dead pixel fairy. Swivel and tilt are very useful--I use them all the time. Can be wall mounted if more adjustment is needed. Cons: None really, works as expected, very happy with it. Other Thoughts: Height adjustment doesn't seem that useful since the lowest height from the desktop is 5-1/4" from the bottom of the monitor. I would have liked it to go lower. Pros: Color, Bright, no glare, excellent contrast, wide view angle, swivel/adjustable stand, basic design (simple, not flashy) Cons: Not slim, but I think the narrow bezel and basic design makes up for it Other Thoughts: I bought this monitor after extensive review because I had previously purchased two of the 20" 'deal of the day' monitors - planning for a dual display. I set up just one of the other monitors and was so frustrated with poor contrast and dingy colors and glare that I sent both back (even suffered the restocking fee) I looked into LCD panel technology and this Viewsonic model had better true contrast than most and uses "in plane switching" or IPS with the result of a wide viewing angle, excellent colors and contrast. I ended up spending more on this 23" monitor than on 2 of the 20 inchers combined, and though I would still like a dual set-up, I couldn't be happier. The 23 inches still affords a lot of real estate for multiple windows/programs. It is not as warm as my previous 19" LCD, thanks to LED, and I usually use the econo mode so that it is less harsh in a dark room, but still brightens in the middle of the day. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful. You don't have to mess around with the color settings unless you like a very 'cool' or 'warm' picture. +LED power light is small and subtle. Hardly noticable when watching a movie in a dim room. +Does not wobble unless you deliberately shake your desk in an attempt to see if it wobbles. Otherwise, elbow bumps and typing won't rock it. +Screen powers off when comp goes to standby, auto-on when comp resumes. +Sturdy design makes me feel confident about the monitor lasting a long time. +Quickly switch between VGA and DVI with one button +Screws for VGA & DVI cables actually fit lol. So many lower-end monitors aren't aligned properly with the screws. Cons: -Wish there was an HDMI socket. Would have made it complete -Not the slimmest LED monitor out there, but the picture matters the most -Design is not the prettiest. Other Thoughts: ~The design is very traditional, which I like.
