5 out of 5 eggsCompact Good Quality

Pros: Nicely constructed, good quality thumbscrew holding the stand to the monitor face. Works fine without the secondary power cable on high power ports. No problem setting it up, worked fine with ATI video card. Has a tilt adjustment and stays put. Designed to work without the stand. Really compact, looks great next to the primary monitor.

Cons: You can see the color depth difference when next to a 1,000 monitor and video card. The base of the monitor is round, I guess it could have been a tripod (not a problem at all but just takes a little more space than necessary.)

Other Thoughts: I had set the monitor to a lower bit depth (16 bit) than my primary display adapter and iTunes found it incompatible (and offered to download a "works with old video" version). Opon setting depth back to the full 32 bit like the primary monitor itunes would play video on it just fine. When viewing media center full screen on windows hit the windows key to escape the curser from that focus back to the primary display. Purchased to watch TV and videos while working on the primary monitor and very happy.

5 out of 5 eggsIt just works!!!

Pros: Very easy just plug and go!!!

Cons: Still to expensive for what it is.

Other Thoughts: I purchased mine back in August 2012. Friend needed a replacement screen for his store ATM screen which was damaged.

I was able to remove the old 5 inch screen and install this screen, plug it into the USB and it just worked.

4 out of 5 eggsPerfect for certain needs

Pros: Color is fantastic. The black colors arent really deep but for my application this works perfect. Nice and clear with 5.2 or 5.3 version drivers. High quality metal stand that is easy to position. Perfect for background programs.

Cons: Price...ouch. Was hoping to spend 50-70 for this project. Windows XP gets a little confused when you set this up as the only monitor.

Other Thoughts: Requires (i think) 2 USB ports to run. I havent tried it on just 1 yet.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes exactly what its designed to do

Pros: With the newest drivers from displaylink's site this think performs GREAT. I can watch videos on it, use my tv tuner to watch tv while useing my laptops main screen for other things! Comes with a nice adjustable stand and cover

Cons: Pricey but worth every penny,

Other Thoughts: You will need the latest driver from Displaylink (google it) with the driver on the cd I could not even get it to play normal video without lagging a little bit

This product works on both my netbook and Laptop perfectly!

3 out of 5 eggsvery nice

Pros: stable, rugged, small for small applications

Cons: price... for the same price i can get a monitor almost 3 times as large.

Other Thoughts: couldnt be picky on price, installed into my vehicle, took the screen out of its stock case and mounted it where cdplayer used to be, which is hooked up to my mini atx motherboard with amd cpu, mounted up underneath the dash of my vehicle, which is also connected to my vehicles ECU.
connected to ECU for real-time engine stats, sensor cutouts, etc.
Monitor goes through alot of wear-and-tear through bumpy roads, on a lowered vehicle.

2 out of 5 eggsDoes not work with Crossfire or SLI

Pros: Small size and great picture.

Cons: Does not work if you are running Crossfire or SLI. This is confirmed in the "Known Issues" section of the troubleshooting guide.

Other Thoughts: I really wanted this little monitor to monitor hardware temps and other information during overclocking. Too bad it blue screens instantly when you hook up while running Crossfire or SLI.

4 out of 5 eggsSurprisingly nice, just too pricey

Pros: Easy to install, works well on XP and Windows 7. Uses a standard mini-USB connection for video and power. Surprisingly sharp and clean image quality, looks as good as my main monitor (which is no slouch). I expected it to be a bit dim...not sure why, probably the lack of a power cord...but it's nice and bright. Comes with a little screen cover to protect it from damage, if you were to take it somewhere. I can see this being super useful as the only monitor for a little media center computer (to run tools without them interfering with the main tv image).

Cons: Too pricey for the size of the monitor. They assume if you're going to tell Windows that this monitor runs to the left or right of your primary screen, that it will be in the bottom corner (that's where the drag-to area registers). turning the monitor on and off MAY reset your windows icon locations, but I think this is more a Windows thing than a fault of the monitor.

Other Thoughts: I bought this as a curiosity during a sale on another site. Yes, it's actually a nice monitor, but its tiny and you can't run 3d acceleration on it. It only has a USB input, so you can't use it as a little screen for a console system or anything. I use it for instant messaging, my MP3 playlist and other notifiers, and I can see who's logging into/out of Teamspeak and Vent without alt-tabbing out of a game. Cost-wise, you might as well buy a full-size secondary monitor unless you're cramped for space. This thing ought to be in the $60-$80 range.
