4 out of 5 eggsDecent quad-monitor stand

Pros: This stand holds my 4 23" monitors without any problems at all. Putting the stand together was simple and the instructions were clear. I was able to complete the setup and mounting of all 4 monitors solo. The stand is heavy and durable and I have never felt as if my monitors were unstable or at any risk of falling.

Cons: The angles that you are forced to choose for your monitors is rather restrictive. You can choose to either angle the monitors toward each other left to right, or you can choose to angle them toward each other top to bottom. You can choose to angle the bottom monitors left to right and the top monitors down, but the edges of the monitor will not line up and the setup looks wrong. If you angle the monitors left to right on top and bottom you can get a tight fit with all monitors lining up perfectly. If you angle the monitors up and down there is a large gap between the top and bottom monitors and only the outside edges touch at the tips.

Other Thoughts: The stand works for my purposes but there are some angling issues that will continue to be minor annoyances for the time that I own this product.

Pros: Works as expected, holds up 4 monitors with no stability issues. Works fine with widescreen monitors.

Cons: Minor issues with setting the monitor angles correctly.

5 out of 5 eggsWill hold 24-in monitors

Pros: Awesome stand, my second from Ergotron. Quality design and quality construction. I am using ASUS VE248 monitors. They're very compact for 24-inches, and the stand holds them just fine.

Cons: Not really a con, but the mounts only support a fixed 4-degree vertical XOR horizontal tilt. I chose to tilt the monitors toward each other side-to-side, saving space on my desk. You could also tilt them away, for a flatter display.

Other Thoughts: The mounts for the two-monitor stand will tilt in both dimensions, but they're about six inches longer, which costs more desk space.

4 out of 5 eggsQuite Nice

Pros: Well built. Just as heavy as it needs to be to support the weight it claims. Complete hardware for different setup scenarious. Functional and attractive.

Cons: Profile - With the curve of the arms and the mounting brackets, it takes up a good bit of desk space from back to front.

Other Thoughts: I have two 23 inch wide screen monitors on the bottom and two 19 inch standard aspect monitors on the top. I have the unit sitting on my desk. It seems very sturdy.

My top monitors are for my servers and I rarely look at them. The bottom, widescreens are for my workstation and get the most use. I don't know that I would want to be actively working on more than two at a time in this configuration. I have three setup at work on the same machine and all side by side. This works pretty well.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid

Pros: Easy to assemble, sturdy, small base footprint, strong but not absurdly heavy. Monitors adjust easily.

Cons: The monitor mounts move in one direction only. When you attach them to the monitor, you must choose between "tilt" or "swivel".

You cannot create a flat wall of monitors with this stand if you want to retain tilt adjustment. As can be seen from the pictures, the arms curve and that is not adjustable. Some might not consider this a con - it's just something to be clearly aware of.

I think you could get a flat wall if you attached the mounts in "swivel" position (but I didn't personally try that).

It's really too bad the mounts don't offer BOTH tilt and swivel.

Also, the arm curvature makes the whole assembly "deeper" than you might expect. My four 22" monitors, which are only 3" deep themselves, mount with 11" between the most forward (outside) point of the monitor and the rear of the base.

Other Thoughts: Good stand, but expensive for what it is. $200 would be a more appropriate price, IMO.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Love it! Sturdy construction, everything fits together well. Very well made. I'm always going with Ergotron from now on.

Cons: Tilt AND swivel per monitor would be nice

Other Thoughts: Some other people have said that you cannot tilt, but you can!

You can either tilt (up/down) or swivel(left/right) each monitor individually, depending on how you orientate the mount.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very sturdy. I put 4 19" LCD's on it and they felt very secure once I had attached them.

Cons: I wish I could tilt the monitors up or down. I can move them up or down or side to side but there is no option for tilt. Also I could not get the monitors to fit together with no gaps. These were identical square 19" flatscreens with small bezels but there was no combination where it would look like the picture. I believe this is because the ergotron is probably too ergonomic and the two back things you attach the monitors to are concave and prevent the top monitors from matching with the bottom monitors.

Other Thoughts: For $300 I'd like the ability to tilt the monitors. The only tilting you can do with the monitors is by flipping the mounts one way or another depending if you want them to point up or down, no in between adjustments.

4 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: Very nice product. You get what you pay for.

Cons: Could be a little cheaper, there's not enough parts for it to be $300.

Other Thoughts: Holds my 4 22" monitors perfect. Plenty of adjustment, looks great. My desktop is more clear. Well it cleared the way for me to put more junk on it.

5 out of 5 eggsA+ Works Great

Pros: Holds my 4 Dell 19" Monitors Great. Very Sturdy and well built. I have a lot more desk space now that i don't have each of them spread out plus i can focus on just one area now instead of looking all around my desk

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsI call it The Quad... aka The Grid

Pros: envy of everyone in IT. sturdy as all hell, its metal baby and heavy. working with Ultramon - this thing is untouchable

Cons: Need to align the 4 monitors a bit more so that they are lined up beautifully. expensive. I can easily use 3 monitors, the 4th is always hanging out.

Other Thoughts: I saw this device over a year ago. I had been doing dual screens at work for a while and felt it was time for a change. I had 17" widescreen LCDs laying around, so I decided to splurge on this.
