Monitor blackout privacy filter provides worry-free privacy wherever you work. Darken on-screen images from a side view with no blurring or distortion. Frameless-style filter stays attached even when your notebook computer is closed. Filter protects valuable LCD screen from fingerprints, scratches and abrasions.
Expensive, works - sort of
Pros: This is a 1/32 inch thick piece of plastic that probably cost 3M less than a dollar to make. It DOES maintain privacy, but only from side viewing. I was kind of disappointed that it doesn't block from above viewing. Also, it darkens the screen, easily fixed by turning up the brightness 5 or 10 ticks, and it makes text a little less sharp.
Cons: Poor mounting system. I just cut a few pieces of cellophane tape and barely caught the edge enough to hold it in the monitor frame - works good, looks less than pristine.
Other Thoughts: I could get more privacy by cutting out a cardboard box and placing it around my monitor, but this looks better. Still thinking about returning it because of the high price. 3M privacy screen, eighty six bucks. Cardboard box, priceless.

Pros: Used Kensington and a few others and hated them. These worked perfect.
Cons: Taped makes removal a tad difficult.
Other Thoughts: Best and easiest style we've used. Currently using 30+ 17" and 15" ones throughout our banks.
