5 out of 5 eggsWow, what a great mouse.

Pros: I love the design of this mouse. The customizable colors / effects and the ability to add weights to the mouse to customize the feel are all great features. The mouse feels very sturdy and the buttons are very responsive. 3 profiles can be saved to the mouse for different colors and customizations (which can be swapped on the fly with a push of a button on the mouse).

The mouse comes with a long braided cable that can easily reach your machine. The cord also has a velcro strap which can be used to bundle up any extra cable so you don't have it piled up on the floor.

Overall a great mouse and am super happy I bought it.

Cons: Nothing that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: Buy this mouse

2 out of 5 eggsLift off distance no good for me.

Pros: Build quality and looks

Cons: Shape for me didn't work I'm a claw grip coming from G9x. The body feels too long and too tall.
While gaming any lift off the mouse pad even less than 1cm loses signal. This is my fault but the G9x didn't do that to me. I guess its user preference and some might like that or not experience it if you keep your mouse hard against the pad at all times.

Other Thoughts: Please just bring back the G9x. Look at the prices on feebay, obviously it is a well regarded mouse that worked for many of us. I feel left out in the cold after having tried now 3 Logitech mice and nothing fits. If and when my G9x gives out I am not sure what I'll do. Alienware's Tactix or whatever is called I don't know maybe M65? Spend more time and a bunch of cash experimenting that's for sure. Too bad for me but I'm not alone I know this at least. Just bring back the G9x.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Mouse but Kinda small

Pros: This is a good solid mouse, good speed, good sensitivity. Its a good Logitech product.

Cons: This mouse is kinda small for a big palm. If you have big hands the back of your hand drags on the mousepad. If you have big hands like me, get the Logitech G700 or the G700s that's a great mouse. Had 2 of them and they are huge! very comfortable and has a nice thumb rest.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this mouse if you don't mind a medium/small size mouse, but is really not that small to be honest. If you want a larger mouse this mouse might not be the best choice.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent mouse!

Pros: Shape: it's size and ergonomic shape fit my medium sized hand extremely well. The layout of the buttons are excellent; it's very well thought out.

Scroll-wheel: the ability to change from a free-wheel to normal scroll wheel mode takes some time to adjust to but I find it works very well and it's great for work and games.

Logitech software for customizing: it's straightforward and easy to use.

Value: the price on the non-RGB model is very competitive and the build quality is superb.

Cons: Shape-it's only optimal for right hand dominant people.

Other Thoughts: I'd recommend it for those who looking for a right handed gaming mouse that has excellent build quality, great layout and size, and easily customizable software.

5 out of 5 eggsg502

Pros: It's a great mouse and the clickers have a great feel and it'll cover everything you need for gaming. When the scroll wheel is unlocked you can get it to spin for 20 seconds and I was addicted to it for a while. For CG:GO I have a bind for every grenade and reload and the G-Shift button is press/unpress bound in CS:GO to switch to knife and back to main gun.

Cons: It's a wee bit heavy and it's easy to accidentally fly over your target when you need to stop it, so I'd suggest using it with a mouse pad like corsair that gives more control over glide. It doesn't need the weights that come with it and adding 3.5 grams too much can completely devastate your game play. When I was using it on a plain desk I actually had to lift up on it a bit to aim right.

Other Thoughts: It's all about finding the right mouse pad and holding it right, learn to refrain from pressing down on it during tense moments. Also if your desk is too high you'll lose a lot of control. But I think it's that way for every mouse.

EDIT: a few months later and nothing has changed. still everything i need in the palm of my hand. not a fragile thing.

5 out of 5 eggsUPDATE

Pros: Since my previous review about how it died, Logitech has replaced my mouse. They stood behind their product. It was replaced in a timely manner, and to my satisfaction. I must confess, I MISSED using my G502. It really is a fantastic mouse, which I learned to appreciate even more when I had to go back to using my old mouse while they sent the replacement.

Cons: None currently.

Other Thoughts: I would highly recommend this mouse!

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: most accurate sensor out there, good overall feel (I'm not a fan of the wheel though), the software that comes with it is easy to use, the weights are great.

Cons: the wheel could be better, I like there metal/rubberized while found on other models, the right mouse button is easy to accidentally click when resting my hand but thats more my fault.

Other Thoughts: I wish it was easier to mod, maybe after the warranty is up Ill try modding the wheel out.

5 out of 5 eggsBest mouse out there

Pros: Perfect mouse for claw and palm grips, I use a hybrid grip where I palm my mouse but claw the clicking, so this mouse is very comfortable. Great mouse clicking, nice sensitivity. Mouse wheel is smooth and tactile. Side buttons are good and easy to press and reach. The optical sensor is great, it's very responsive and accurate. I love Logitech's software, it lets me set multiple DPI settings so I can switch DPI's depending on which game I am playing. The weights are included which might help with your gaming. The mouse is heavy on it's own so I never added the weights.

Cons: G LED light on mouse is meh, it's bright but not super glowing, but can't change color on it. Wish there were more lights on it. And it was expensive.

Other Thoughts: Worth the money now probably, this is to me the best mouse on the market.

3 out of 5 eggsGood Mouse, Overall

Pros: -Good customization in software
-Good amount of buttons for my use
-Feels like a Logitech build
-On the fly DPI always handy
-Good sensor

Cons: -A little small
-Rubber on the side makes my palm sweat
-Questionable mouse wheel

Other Thoughts: I've owned Logitech mice for a long time now. I usually get them once every few years when the wire connection starts to give out. Logitech's overall build quality is excellent, although the spot where the wire connects to the mouse is always a weak point that gives out. I don't blame Logitech for this because it seems to be a common issue across all electronics that I use on a daily basis. Same thing happened again and I've purchased this product to replace my old Logitech G400 that was periodically disconnecting.

Overall, I'm happy with this purchase. Customization options are good for what I need. The sensor on the mouse appears to be excellent.

The problem I have with the mouse is twofold. First, I don't know why they decided to put rubber on the side of the mouse. Maybe it is supposed to increase grip, although I've literally never had a problem of my hand slipping off of mice before (mind you, I've never used those $10 mice). The downside of the rubber grip is that my hand sweats, a lot. And it sweats right over the rubber grip portion. I'm not sure why they didn't go with the smooth rubberized plastic they have on the G400.

The second issue I have is the size. Maybe it will take some time to get used to, but it's a little small for my hand. The result is that my ring finger significantly overlaps my pinky on the side of the mouse and kind of twists down into it. I have yet to play video games for a significant amount of time to see if this will cause hand cramping. I think if they made the body a little wider, or a little taller, it would be fine. I am a big guy though, so I don't think many other people will have this problem.

The weights are useless, and they have always been in mice for me. I put in some weights to see what it would do to the overall feel and what I noticed is that the added little bit of weight makes the mouse stick a touch to my desk, so that you need to put a bit more pressure on the initial move (if you require precise movements, then this will cause you to overshoot your target). This issue might be alleviated if you're using a mouse pad. I don't.

I would have liked a variable LED colour lighting for the G rather than just blue with a "breathing" lighting option.
