5 out of 5 eggsWow

Pros: The G502 is a beautiful mouse that performs like a champ. The G502 is by far the best mouse I have ever owned.

I have a fairly medium sized hand and use claw grip and this mouse fits like a glove.

Cons: This isn't a true Con, but the light blue accents on the mouse don't really go with the red/black color scheme of my computer. It would have been nice to see Logitech address the appearance customization by either having controllable LED's or different models with various colors. Again, this is more personal taste than a Con, but it's something that many other mice at this price range start offering...

Other Thoughts: While some mice are tailored to one end of the market or another, Logitech took more of a jack of all trades approach with the G502 and pullled it off. This mouse is an average size, with an average number of buttons, an average degree of customization, and a slightly above average price. The final result is one of the best mice on the market. Both in terms of performance and appearance.

It might be a bit short on function when compared to high-end mmo mice, and it can have too much function for a casual pc user, but for the middle-ground user that is looking for a quality gaming mouse that offers that extra layer of function, without looking like a jumbled pile of mouse buttons, the G502 cannot be beat.

5 out of 5 eggsHow did i live so far without this mouse.

Pros: Excellent mouse, in all the possible angles. if i am you i will buy before reading my review:

Custom weight: it a great and my favorite feature you can make personalize for your hand strength, it really good to avoid wrist problem.

As IT i recommend 100%, well made mouse, all the possible need you probably have on mouse are cover up to 11 custom bottoms for what ever.

One thing with custom bottoms is: most of them don't let use the window key as combination. this one does.

I like the light, but honestly it is not big deal you hand will be there all the time. looks cool tho.

softest keys and 100% responsive, i made a game firing weapon test and 100% accurate, you won't miss that head-shot (game wide) next time.

I like the materials and the body style for a

Cons: I wouldn't recommended for a small hand. mid-large size is great.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesomeness Gliding on My Mat

Pros: Too many to be extensive. I didn't think Logitech could make anything better than the G9x, but I was wrong. Since I had the Logitech Gaming Software already installed it was recognized, firmware updated, everything programed, and tuned within minutes.

With the G9x you have to use a claw grip, which is good, but this thing makes you use a modified claw grip. I love how I can put all the weight in bumping up the DPI so I can have a lot more control with very little movement. The DPI shift button I can get even more fine control when needed without going up and down my DPI settings.

Because of the profiles being on board I have the same control when booted into Linux.

This coupled with a G13 for gaming there is not excuse for not playing your best.

This thing is just comfy.

The G-Shift button in the third profile can be used to put macros in for those hard to reach keyboard buttons for probably MMOs and the such.

Cons: Same issue with most Logitech advanced G-series products, not a lot of support for Linux. This is going to really suck for Logitech when SteamOS really starts to take off as Microsoft keeps shooting themselves in the foot.

Other Thoughts: If you game on Linux, make sure you have access to a Windows OS so you can put in the profiles, then boot into Linux.

3 out of 5 eggsErgonomically terrible

Pros: -Does and has everything just as advertised.
-Not bad looking.

Cons: -Ergonomically the worst mouse I have ever used in my life. Used it for about 2 hours and my hand was cramping so bad I switched back to my old broken mouse.
-Mouse wheel has 2 settings. Extremely loose to the point of scrolling on it's own without even touching it. Or, extremely tight to the point of making clicking sounds audible from the next room.

Other Thoughts: Aside from it's atrocious ergonomics, it wouldn't be that bad of a mouse.
-There's a lump coming out of it around the point where your laptop callous is. No idea why it's there. Just extremely uncomfortable and forces your hand into a strange uncompromising position, especially while gaming.
-The button directly in front of the thumb is difficult to reach, especially with the laptop callous lump mentioned above. Unless you have a freakishly long thumb you would need to re-position your hand every time you wanted to use it.
-While buying this mouse I was concerned that the lack of any kind of pinky side rest would be uncomfortable. I was right. Serious pinky dragging issues in addition to uncomfortableness. On the up side the rubber on that side of the mouse is great. Just extremely uncomfortable.

I gave it 3 out of 5 because it does in fact do everything as advertised. It's just really, really, really really uncomfortable.

5 out of 5 eggsawesome gaming / multi tasking mouse

Pros: I have a rather big hand and it fits me very well. A smaller hand (my girlfriend) fits great too, it's simply resting more on it.

Button configuration is easy, quick with the software provided online and different games are recognized.

Not sure it the weights are really doing something more, would have to test it a lot more. Mouse is really light, which is perfect in my opinion. It also glides really well on my gamepad (Gigabyte Ghost Gaming Series) and also on a cheaper one.
Probably the best mouse I had to this day in 15 years of gaming.

Cons: none so far beside 1 button that is unreachable in-game (where fast clicking is required) --> the button G9 (just under the mouse wheel rolling adjustment). You can't click on it without pressing the wheel adjustment.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent performance

Pros: Right-hand ergonomic, textured on the sides for key grip points. Adjustable fly-wheel mouse wheel design accomodates different styles of use from gaming to switching to aggressive Tumblr browsing. The P. Core has just enough heft, not to mention adjustable weights that are cleverly implemented. Highly programmable as already advertised, remappable keys and bindable macros to your liking. True Logitech quality many others have come to know.

Cons: None from current experience.

Other Thoughts: Migrating from an original run Razer Mamba, I was hoping for the Proteus Core to be lighter, but that was not the case. I have successfully adjusted to the minor increase in weight. It must be all the brains inside the Core that weigh it down.

Pros: -amazing sensor
-sniper dpi button
-great software
-reliable company
-true zero acceleration
-surface calibration

Cons: -palm grip users may not like it
-magnetic cover has a texture to it that may take a while to wear some to break in.

Other Thoughts: I really can't think of anything thats wrong with this mouse!!
I may have gotten it before I heard of the announcement of Logitech's hyperion mouse, but I prefer this one for its nice scroll wheel and weight adjustability

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Mouse

Pros: See Other Thoughts:

Cons: Attracts dirt very easily
Cleaning the mouse is time consuming
Plastic thumb grip gets caked with dirt

Other Thoughts: The very first time I ever palmed this mouse, I could have sworn it was cast using my hand as the mold. I have used a lot of gaming mice in my time, but non can even remotely compare to the comfort and natural feel of the G502. $80 is a lot of money to pay for a mouse, but if there is any mouse out there that is worth $80, it is this one.

I have been using the mouse every day for a month now, and I absolutely love it. It is designed for gaming, but is also very comfortable for every day use because of its design, it is just so comfortable. I use a hybrid claw/palm grip, and this mouse fits the bill for my personal touch. I have average sized hands, with somewhat long fingers. The mouse is very sturdy feeling, comes with adjustable weights, and you can customize how much you want it to weigh, and where the weight is distributed. The mouse has a very nice look and finish to it. It definitely stands out and has a "wow" factor to it. The cord is nicely braided, it looks and feels strong. You can turn the LED on or off, as well as the brightness level. There are so many customization options, it is terrific. The spin wheel is very nice, it also doubles as a macro button, and it can be clicked to either side for even more macros. The "fly-wheel", where you can lock and unlock the wheel is really nice. I am converted, I will forever need this feature in the future. The build quality is impeccable nothing feels too stiff or too loose, it is just right.

The mouse is incredibly responsive, and has tons of settings and customization options, all of which can be fine tuned easily with the software provided. I do recommend you do the mouse pad calibration and not use the presets. I love being able to change the DPI settings on the fly, and the sniper button is really a delight to use. It makes you better when sniping, and makes the game more fun because it feels like you have more to do, and gives you an advantage so long as you have the skill to implement this tactic.

The only negative I have is that the mouse does collect dirt pretty easily because of all of the buttons, nooks and crannies. It is an easily clean with a toothpick or duster can.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Mouse, Im just not used to it

Pros: -Looks amazing
-Good placement on the buttons
-Good braided cable
-Works well all across the board!

Cons: No real apparent cons

Other Thoughts: Now I do have issues with this mouse but they aren't the mouse's fault, they're just my personal preferences so I'm not counting them against the mouse.

I had been using a razer taipan for about 2 years and it fit me really well, new when i switched over to this mouse i find it much more difficult to play games with it only because my hands are quite big and the mouse feels smaller than the taipan.

It just feels completely off when I game with it. I'll give it time, maybe i just need to learn to hold it in a different way, but hopefully in the future this will work great for me!

I would just recommend if you're used to bigger mouses be careful when getting this one because it does feel smaller than mouses such as the taipan. but once you get used to it it is a great mouse! :D
