Other Thoughts: I love these pedals, but if you are new to rudder pedal usage, be prepared for a few flights consisting of derp moments where you forget that you don't twist the stick anymore.

The software is problematic and difficult to use, even for a programmer like myself. I have only tinkered with the curves to get the left toe brake sensitivity in check, but i cant imagine trying to program buttons on a ch stick with this stuff...NO THANKS!.

The pedal base will slide everywhere unless you try some creative measures to keep it in place, something like carpet tape or velcro works well.

I am not a fan of the induced resistance at the center point, it can make fine movements trickey to get the hang of. -1 egg overall, half an egg for the software, half an egg for center point resistance.

Pros: Nice hadware. plug and play fsx without any programming or software. taxi control and braking feels just right, maybe a little stiff until you wear in the spring, but it doesn't loose much tension. big heavy sturdy base, I don't know what everyone is crying about, it hasn't moved an inch since I put it on the floor (low pile carpet)

Cons: I hate the cups that are supposed to position your shoes. They are not too comfy if you play w no shoes, I would rather be able to rest my feet on the base or the ground. The pedals could be a bit wider and further apart, maybe a notch at the top to hit while braking

Other Thoughts: Works seamlessly with Saitek pro flightyoke. I play w no shoes for the same reason you don't put body armor on to play an fps game. I'm using this at home to keep current on my IFR procedures, as a training tool and for fun. Playing barefoot-ok. Flying barefoot...haven't tried :D

Pros: Had a CH joystick and literally THREW IT AWAY based on this statement by CH.

Cons: "You are correct it was a marketing and sales decision to have Control Manager only combine our controllers. We of course are a business and would like to make a profit as well as produce quality product, so we do such things to prompt potential customers to buy our products. There are no future plans for allowing Control Manager to combine other brand controllers. "

Other Thoughts: So I guess this means Microsoft should make Vista incompatible with CH products since they make joysticks as well and would like to make a profit off selling there products. LAME, will never EVER do business with this company based on this statement. I am "of course" a consumer who refuses to pay top dollar for compatibility problems, especially when they're purposeful. I enjoyed the realism put into design with these joysticks, but not enough for this kind of arrogance.

Pros: Extremely precise, highly durable, very rugged. High quality of manufacture. Excellent warranty. The best home simulator grade pedals on the market. The guy who said they are not compatible is lying, obviously a shill for Saitek or some other. CH software control manager doesn't allow non-CH products to be configured in it, but why would it? Such a notion is ridiculous. This does not prevent CH products and non-CH products from co-existing.

Cons: Expensive. Toe brakes are too sensitive but this is fixable with the CH software (but you must use it if you want to use the toe brakes, in plug'n'play default mode they are way too touchy). CH software can be a bit confusing.

Other Thoughts: I have written reviews for each of the high end CH products that are available on newegg (fighterstick, pedals, throttle, and quadrant). I've spent almost 1500 on flight simulator gear in the past year because I kept buying things that broke or were not very good. I've owned and either broke or sold far too many products to list here (including both X52s), I've mixed and matched countless stick/throttle combos, but CH is easily the best. The only thing other companies do better than CH is make their stuff prettier and more comfortable to use. CH provides superior precision, durability, quality control, and an outstanding warranty. In addition, they have legendary support for user modifications, scripting, and customization. They have very fast customer support through email and forums. Once you take the plunge you will accept nothing else, something I didn't fully appreciate until now. If you worship quality and precision, CH deserves a place on your desk.

Pros: I'm not afraid of breaking these :)
Tight response with zero deadzone.
Highly recommended(required)especially if you are doing helicopter sim.

Cons: could use a heavier base. Had slipping problems till I put velcro on the feet.

Other Thoughts: Seems to be quite a strong following for CH Products and I can add my name to that list. There's a large community base for set-ups, tweaks and mods.

Pros: Solid feel, well built. Go's well with their stick and throttle.

Cons: Sensitive. Base too short to rest your heels on and control pedals with balls of feet like in a real plane. Slides around on carpet. Take a note from home subwoofer company's, carpet spikes! IT's obvious CH builds good stuff, but their software programing skills are lacking. Software has high learning curve and difficult to use.

Other Thoughts: Been using these for a year or two. Not a single issue with them, sans software.

Pros: I had the game port version for many years. Replaced the pot once but no other problems. These feel and look exactly like them and therefore I have no complaints.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: None.

Pros: They're stable in terms of repeatable centering and on the floor, even on a short-pile carpet.

Cons: Suffers same fundamental flaws as the earlier joystick port version: Pedals set too close together by about 6", and toe brake resistance is too light. The former is a realism and comfort issue, the latter renders the toe brakes useless for anything other than binary on-off functionality.

Other Thoughts: In spite of the cons the pedals are indispensable for flight particularly for rotorcraft, but also for fixed wing flight below 100 knots

Pros: with toe brakes and a sturdy construction, it completes the trilogy of the ch fighter setup..

Cons: sure it may not be compatable with other devices as one guy assumed, but read below for why..

Other Thoughts: on games that only support one input device, ie. one joystick, Ch has made the software to combine all three input devies (throttle, stick and rudder) into one output. so the game will see it all as one joystick..

Pros: Plugged right in and got it to work with flight sim 2004 and combat flight sim 1-3

Cons: Software is kind of chincy, but thankfully the games did the work for me when setting them up.

Other Thoughts: I tend to agree that the pedals could use a little more resistance, but overall, it was money well spent for a flight sim lover.
