4 out of 5 eggsTTeSports level 10 headset

Pros: Good sound (for me)
Solid locking bands
Comfortable ear cups
Good sounding mic
Two removable braided cords
Left or right side cord connection
Comfortable top cushion
Nice Stylish Travel bag

Cons: Splitting and chipping plastic on top head band
Sound cuts out when cord is bent near the mic on/off switch and in-line volume housing

Other Thoughts: It's coming close to the one year mark of using this headset and up till maybe a month ago I couldn't be more happy with it. This headset sounds good to my ears, was very comfortable on my head, people could hear me crystal clear with it's mic and overall felt very solid. I really love having two cords, one for the PC and one for more mobile use and that could be connected to either side.

However in the last month or so I've noticed that the plastic on the top of the head band has been cracking from just everyday use and lately a few very small chunks have popped out near those cracks, I've also had both of the plastic caps at each end of the cushion which are held in by two screws each have stripped and fell out, which was easy to fix with a very small dab of super glue. Nevertheless I guess i feel like this shouldn't be happening this soon, at two years i wouldn't be to hurt. Despite it's small problem i'm still happy i purchased these and may look to getting a different headset for this company in the future.

1 out of 5 eggsGreat look, poor audio

Pros: They look great. Even the cheap parts ended up looking better than I expected.
Better bass than several reviews had me believe.

Cons: The audio just isn't acceptable for a headset in this price bracket. Sound is comparable to a low tier pair of headphones in the $20-30 range.

Other Thoughts: I used this headset with a Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Pro sound card and its full software suite. The Creative Fatal1ty Gaming Headset I was attempting to replace is far superior.

5 out of 5 eggsJust got it

Pros: High build quality. These headphones are very good for the price. I usually buy higher priced phones, but these had good reviews. All of the materials are high quality and the phones have a good weight to them. Audio is very good in both music and games. My last phones were studio reference ones, very expensive and I'm just loving these. The other reviewers talked about the packaging being bad, but mine was wrapped in plastic and didn't look beat up.

Cons: It came with two cables, one with the audio controls, mic /phone jack and one with just the phone jack if you don't utilize a mic. The second cable with just the headphone jack was a little short, the other one with both phone and mic are long enough.

Other Thoughts: I like that you can disconnect the wiring and plug it in on either side of the headphones, nice touch.

Pros: It's just what I wanted

Cons: Looks like my box was sent to combat

Other Thoughts: It would have been nice to see a volume controller on the mobile cable

4 out of 5 eggsNice, but some flaws

Pros: Ran this thing through a pretty thorough review this afternoon - Hopefully this helps out those of you who are on the fence.
This thing is gorgeous. The headset itself is composed primary of what I'm assuming is aluminum, and has enough weight to suggest quality without being so heavy as to compress a disk. Very comfortable on your head - ear cups mold nicely, headband is well-padded. Ability to have cable attach to either ear is also very convenient. Sound and microphone quality are both very nice - bass is pronounced without being overwhelming, highs are nice and crisp. Ear cups have locking mechanisms to set the fit of the headset, so you don't have to worry about accidentally changing it. Overall, a very attractive and well-performing headset.

Cons: However, this headset does have a few flaws that prevented it from getting a full 5 stars. I hope TTE reads this and corrects them for further releases.
The first, and most major error, is that the volume and microphone switch (located on the cable about 1 foot from the headset itself) is primarily composed of that cheap "plastichrome" that you can see a mile off. Given that one of the main goals of this headset are aesthetics, it cheapens the overall look of the headset considerably. This could be easily fixed by TTE, since the cable isn't permanently attached to the headset - simply release a version that is machined out of the same aluminum as the headset.
Secondly, the "case candy" I've come to expect from TTE is absent as well. This includes a CD with drivers and such (it would be nice to have a GUI to set up audio profiles for gaming, movies, music, etc), the carrying bag (which I found to be most strange, since EVERY other TTE item I've ever bought came with a bag), and the little dragon sticker (that I never actually stick on anything). Overall, nothing I can't live without, but I do miss the carrying bag especially. They did come with a second (headphones only?) cable of dubious utility, since it's about as long as my arm. When plugged in to my personal setup, the cable has no choice but to dangle in front of my monitor. Thankfully, the main headphone/microphone cable is much longer. Finally, and most minor, is that the locks to hold the earpieces in place (which are a very nice touch) are very difficult to set properly unless the headset is on one's head, at which point they make an almost painful clicking noise. Again, nothing major, just annoying when you're trying various heights to set your preference.

Other Thoughts: Packaging looked like it had been in a rock-polisher by the time it made it to me. Headset box was also very beaten up - thankfully, the headset itself was undamaged. Wish Newegg provided these with a little bit more padding.
