Yes they are. They work the same as the apple headphones do. Single tap play/pause, double tab next song, triple tap previous song. Also works with phone calls. One issue I found was with the design. These things are huge sticking out your ears and the cord is so rigid that any movement while walking tends to knock them out of your ears. I no longer use mine mobile as a result and only use them when I'm stationary. Great sound quality though.

Can be used for Android phone?

I use it in my samsung galaxy s all the time. The buttons/mic on the cord don't work (their made for iphone) minor con, but the sound quality is excellent.

Does it have a microphone so I can use it to make calls?

Yes you can make calls and talk with hands free calling.

does it work for HTC HD7? it has mic?

The button controls and mic will only work for an iPhone. They are not supported on any Android device.

will these work for talking on an iphone to a call?

Yes, these work with iPhones perfectly! Plus great sound quality.
