5 out of 5 eggsNifty Headphones

Pros: Nice headphones. Detachable cord. Tapline control (if your device supports it). Hard case (big, but sturdy) Headphones fold to fit into this case, yet the hinges are metal and sturdy (in contrast to plasic hinges, which have broke on me twice). These headphones also look better and cost less than Beats, although I can't attest to audio quality between the two, as I have never had any Beats headphones. Some think the lows are too low or the highs too high; but really picky people (audiophiles) likely have an EQ to tone this down (even my cheap MP3 player has a manual EQ setting) . Prehaps they don't need an EQ with $400 headphones. They sound good to me though, and the passive noise cancelation is pretty good. Choice of black or white.

Cons: Nice things tend to attract sticky fingers...

Other Thoughts: I liked these while I had them, now I just have the tapline controller and the hard case. The headphones came with another simple cable I was using (my MP3 player does not support the playback / volume controls). Nice things tend to be the target of theft, so I will buy another set and be more careful this time. Also, I bought them at how should I say it, a Bay full of E. Better price there, although I would be sure to get a new pair, as people will sell used headphones (nasty) at this Bay of E. I paid $66 but found a replacement for $60.

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible

Incredible sound, best audio I've ever heard. Only difference between this and a live convert is that these probably sound better :) I've seen many reviews saying these headphones are equal to or better than studio beats, I don't own a pair of beats so I don't know if I'm justified to say that but I can easily see why people can say that, got these headphones on sale for 60$ but I would pay 200
I see tons of reviews saying these headphones are uncomfortable, I have no idea where that comes from. I'm wearing them right now and they are the most comfortable headphones I've ever wore. They aren't tight at all and the memory foam an leather is really great, again a great buy
I don't know a lot about headphone style and what's appealing, but these look really good to me and feel good, again incredible

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Another reason to buy these headphones is the accessories that come with them, you get 2 awesome carrying cases a soft one and a hard one, you get two cables one with Tapline III which is an excellent feature and an extra long one, you get a 3.5 mm convertor to 1/4 inch which is really nice to have also a splitter so you can use the mic on a computer and a microfibres cleaning cloth. Probably the best 60$ I've spent in my life, even though I would pay 200$ for these headphones

4 out of 5 eggsQuality control?

Pros: Sound is great for the price
Comparable if not better than Skull Candy Aviators, the only thing I have access to for comparison besides my old Turtle Beach Z1's, which are blown away in sound quality.
I didn't like anything below 320kbps but now cant stand anything below 320 with these. I hear things I never noticed before both good and bad.

I find them very comfortable after breaking them in. My head is 6 inches wide and I wear glasses. I have never bought or tried on a pair of headphones that were not tight other than a few extremely cheap and flimsy ones. Like almost all new headphones I put them on something an inch or two wider then my head when not in use for the first week to month to stretch them out. I use my computer case.

Solid construction
Replaceable cord
Packaging and accessories

Cons: Small earcups
The inside of the foam measures 2.25 in x 1.25 in. According to an internet search the average human ear size is 2.5in for men and 2.3in for women. Not sure what the designer was thinking.

Designed for Apple

Quality control (see "Other thoughts" for details)

Other Thoughts: I had to RMA my first pair.

Issues with the first pair.
Day one caught a chill, shook my head and found out the left speaker was just rattling around inside. Managed to fix this but not properly or completely since it was in a permanently sealed enclosure.

Also day one I noticed the headphone plug on the PC adapter had a short (I assumed it was the jack on my PC at the time but I don't have the issue with the replacement).

I was told the mic sounded bad and far away ( I assumed this was because I was using it on an android device and not an Apple but I'm told by the same person that the replacement sounds fine). To clarify Apple swaps the mic+ and ground on the 3 ring 4 pole headphone plug and uses a different signal for the + and - buttons on the cord. I never did test the first mic on my PC but the second one seems fine.

First pair developed a short in the headband after a week or two, causing the right ear to cut out and/or sound blown.

All seemed fine with the replacement pair until I watched a movie yesterday and noticed that left and right are swapped. I confirmed it was the Tapline cord and its only that cord not the PC adapter or standard three pole headphone cord. I tested this on my computer with the adapter and my phone without the adapter and no Apple doesn't change Left and Right just common/ground and mic+. Not going to bother sending the replacement pair back for this.

Not sure why others complain about them being bass heavy. I found them to be week on the bass but grew to like it since it was so much cleaner than what I'm use too.

I got these for use with my PC not my Galaxy S2 Glide or any Apple devices. Though I do find myself using them on the phone at home now that the mic works ok.

3 out of 5 eggsVery Disappointed

Pros: Packaging, accessories... sounded pretty good too!.

Cons: Uncomfortable at best for short periods, PAINFUL to my ears... and scalp within an hour!!!

Other Thoughts: "You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig!"

Really wanted to like these. Was hoping the few reviews I read about how these are more on-your-ear vs. over-your ear; and that regardless on one's personal ear/head dimensions, they clamp down on your head waaaaayyyy too hard... was just the musings of those ever present, too-picky, cranky, elephant-headed (size-wise), dumbo-eared (hey, he was an elephant too, right?), customers that show up eventually for any product that gets enough reviews.

Well I believe I have a "normal" sized head and "normal" sized ears! But indeed I could not tolerate the pressure and pain these cause me after only short periods of listening. I really expected the "memory foam" to make a big different as these are the first cans I've had with that material. But nope. Seemingly irrelevant!

And despite whatever "Ported sound chamber" this Scosche features, I felt that even at low volumes these cause me some audio fatigue/discomfort in my eardrums!

Though not really related to this specific item. RMAing costs the customer money and time (and time is money, too) and as a long time shopper at Newegg who has NEVER had to return a single thing, I am now feeling the pain/annoyance of my last two purchases needing to be RMA'd (previous item a hard drive that was DOA).

Restocking fees on both + paying for shipping + all my lost time troubleshooting and ultimately repackaging, boxing, printing shipping labels, driving to UPS, etc... I'll pay closer attention to the negative reviews on an item from now on and not be as dismissive as I previously have been.

3 stars for great packaging and accessories (the lipstick)... and realizing that indeed my head/ears must NOT be "normal" after all (oh, the horror!!!) And, of course that some, if not many, people (children - teenagers???) love these. Still I ca't help but believe the engineers/designers of this item blew it... big time... when determining what a "good fit" for the masses means.

5 out of 5 eggsReally Good Sound

Pros: Comfortable to wear and amazing sound. Full range sound is excellent, not to much bass and the right amount of mids and highs. I would recommend these to anyone.

Cons: NONE

4 out of 5 eggsHave only heard Beats or sub-$100 headphones before? Go for it!

Pros: Build quality is very solid, and it is very comfortable to use for long period of time. Bass is heavily boosted, like Beats by Dr.Dre, resulting large booming sound. It does add excitement to a Hip-hop and many other related genres. Furthermore, their cable is pretty nice touch. it's flat design prevents cable from tangling too much, and the accessory they include, which is TapLine III, is pretty nice touch.

Cons: Unfortunately, like most of the mediocre headphones, this is a headphone that sacrifices uppers and mids for bass boost. So overall sound is quite murky. Not as bad as Dr.Dre, but it still sacrifices the sound quality for satisfying bass heads. Not a big problem while listening to a music on the go, but listening right next to my computer, I'd prefer the headsets I originally owned, which are Grado S80i and Audio Technica ATH-M50.

Other Thoughts: I paid $50, as the headphone was on the shell shocker. After using it, I think I wasted $50 on something that I probably won't need. :(

3 out of 5 eggsBetter than buds any day

Pros: Much better sound than any buds I have tried, and I prefer the balance of Bass, Treble, and Mid-range to most of the Beats-type cans on the market. The Scosche are well-matched to the standard resolution mp3s most personal devices are playing. The flat cord is a plus, and the connectors are well-made. Foldability and the case and bag included make them easier to carry around than most headphones of similar size and weight.

Cons: If your preferred way of listening to music is lossless (FLAC) files played with a headphone amplifier and/or DAC, you probably already know that these cans will not cut the mustard. They perform pretty well with standard personal devices, but benefit hardly at all from higher resolution file sources or additional amplification, in my opinion. I did not find the tapline cord (also included) to be very useful. One other caveat: These are foldable, and will fold up easily while handling -- but watch out when opening them to put on your head -- they can give your hand or fingers a NASTY pinch if you're not careful!

Other Thoughts: Today they are a Shell Shocker deal at $49.95 -- Well worth it in my opinion, for casual listening.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Headphones - Fast Delivery

Pros: Great sound from Mozart to Metallica.

Excellent build quality.

Very comfortable.

Good sale price and a great value for the money.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Based on some other reviews I was concerned the headphones would be un-comfortably tight on my head (but for the price it was worth taking a chance).

When I tried them out for the first time I kept them on my head for nearly three hours. I never felt any discomfort at all. In fact these are one of the most comfortable headphones I have owned (and I have owned many over the years).

The sound reproduction was exceptional at low, mid and high volume levels. The speakers were easily driven from either my iTouch or my 1000 watt Onkyo receiver.

The price was right and the product was well packed and quickly delivered as usual from NewEgg.

2 out of 5 eggsuncomfortable

Pros: not worth the time

Cons: I just got these today finally. have worn them for a few hours now

they're not just uncomfortable, they hurt.
they're tight.
and they're not over the ear, like I expected. they're on ear, unless you have tiny ears.
they also make my glasses press into my head.
I thought the g430 headphones were uncomfortable, but they're a dream compared to these.
these do have very good sound quality compared to those though

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: I bought these on sale for $70 and looking back, I would buy them again for twice that price. The sound quality is phenominal all across the spectrum, not just the bass like other heaphones. They're comfortable and built tough, and the fact that they fold and come with a hard and soft case is a huge bonus.

Cons: They may be a little tight at first for those of us with wide heads. The black finish also smudges easily, that may be important to people always wanting their things shiny and new looking.
