Enjoy powerful bass along with class leading clarity and a spacious presentation, extreme comfort, and the convenience of a single cable and folding headband. The supra-aural design (ear cups rest on your ears) uses ear cups that swivel to fit the shape of your head/ears and a padded, lightweight, adjustable headband that is comfortable for long term wear. The cable is designed without a split, connecting only to the left ear cup, eliminating cable tangle and frustration. Sound leakage is reduced due to the closed back design of the ear cups, so you won't disturb your neighbors like an open backed headphone. Travel with a headphone has never been easier, as the headband folds and the ear cups swivel into a compact size perfect for storage and travel during those rare occasions you will not be listening to the HT-21.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent pair of headphones!

Pros: - Price
- Very solidly built for the price(these don't feel like they will break easily)
- Terrific sound quality after about of a week of burn-in
- Not much sound-leakage
- Easily folds into a convenient shape and size, can fit nicely into a jacket pocket
- Single-sided, thick cable
- Though not noise-isolating, a great deal of noise is blocked
- Fits my relatively-large head
- Lightweight

Cons: - Comfort level is OK at best for me, more than tolerable for my ~40 minute commute though. I do have a relatively-large head though, so for most people, these should feel fine.
- The pouch included has a rather poor-quality drawstring, but this is hardly a con.

5 out of 5 eggsSecond review. After spending a lot of time with them.

Pros: My original view still holds. Over time, the sound has improved slightly. The bass has deepened, but it's still clean/tight. The treble has smoothened out quite a bit. It was grainy at first, and now it's crisp and smooth. This headphone really shines with acoustic music, but holds its own even when listening to metal. The grain/crunchiness of the treble is no longer an issue.

Cons: None. At this price point, it's nearly impossible to complain. If I had to point out any flaws, it would be build quality, but it's adequate at this price, and I have not experienced any breaks/cracks or shorting out. Still functioning perfectly, and I've fallen asleep wearing these many times.

Other Thoughts: I've been listening back and forth between these and the Bose AE (silver first version) and I believe I prefer these now, surprisingly.

It's somewhat painfully to admit, because these are a fraction of the cost. I think it's time to sell the Bose and buy a backup pair of these.

4 out of 5 eggsEXCELLENT

Pros: Light weight with better than average sound. I have owned many headsets since the late 60's and these are some of the best.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Bought because of CNET's review and am not disappointed.

5 out of 5 eggsSound great

Pros: They sound great to me. The details and realism from the highs was the first thing I noticed, I have other headphones like ATH-M50 and while these don't have the bass I'm not complaining because they sound great. I really like the sound.
They seem comfortable enough and the construction is what I expected for the price or better. The cable seems really nice for portable use.
Over all I like them better than the Sennheiser PX 100-II.

Cons: This design of headphones is not sturdy when folded so it is necessary to be careful of where they end up in your bag. A hard case would be one solution.

They don't isolate well but I think that's part of what makes them sound good.

Not for bass heads but I don't mind electronic music and dupstep on them.

Other Thoughts: Got them on sale for $5, I have not heard anything better for under $50 so I don't think they are a bad deal at any price really.

3 out of 5 eggsA regretted buy

Pros: - Portability (they fold up nicely)
- Low-profile

Cons: - even though they fold up, they do not stay that way. I would have to jam them into the included storage bag.
- somewhat flimsy construction, headband is too thin
- earcups a little too firmly padded, hurt ears after a while
- MEElec logo on earcups scratches off easily

Other Thoughts: While I am not an audiophile, I do collect as many budget head- and earphones as I can. These HT-21 headphones do not do the good name of MEElectronics justice, as I can definitely recommend their M9 earphones, as well as their customer service (my pair of M9 broke, replacement sent immediately upon reception of sent-in broken earphones)
As for the category of on-ear headphones, I definitely prefer the Philips "The Snug" on-ears to these ones. Bass on the Philips' is much better than the HT-21, and construction feels much more sturdy.

And as always, thank you to the reviewers at Newegg and at countless other tech forums

4 out of 5 eggsSound great, somewhat flimsy

Pros: Great sound for the price, especially if you can snag these on sale. Excellent purchase for somebody looking to get an upgrade from their earbuds.

Cons: They are built a little bit flimsy around the ears. The small piece of plastic that allowed for rotation about the earpiece to fit to the head broke off (on both sides). Nothing a little superglue can't fix, but the 'phones can't be repositioned anymore. :(

3 out of 5 eggsPoor Sound Quality, Nice Build

Pros: I bought these hoping to have a nice portable replacement to my aging Sony MDR-V300s and they deliver on that front. Nice and compact, these headphones are easy to slip in it's carrier bag and fold up quite nicely.

Cons: However, more important was the sound and the HT-21s left me a little disappointed. The out of the box sound is very bright, and not every device I carry has the capability to tone down the highs. With the right settings you could get some great sound of of these.

Other Thoughts: They can get a little uncomfortable to wear after extended use, but you sacrifice comfort for extreme portability.

What A Surprise!

Unbelievable sound for the price, and this is even before burn-in. The sound is brushing close to my Bose AE ($139) ...
