Pros: There is not one derogatory comment that I could make about this DVD drive. I have used it from installing software to watching movies and it is still going strong. I was impressed with the increase of read speed, from the standard 16x to 18x. I must admit I was a little apprehensive about purchasing this unit, when I learned that JoeBot experienced a problem with one of the mounting holes not being drilled properly. I am happy to report; I did not encounter such an issue. I would recommend this particular drive to anyone.

Cons: Absolutely none.

Other Thoughts: Thinking about contacting Lite-on to see if I can purchase additionals belts. In time belts begin to stretch and than break.

Pros: Price,SATA,quick, and quite

Cons: none really. can get a little loud when working hard

Pros: Works

Cons: Anyone know why my MSI mobo (K8T Neo2) won't see this at boot-time? I have a SATA HDD that it will see just fine at boot-time. Of course when Windows is loaded it sees this drive just fine, but currently I"m unable to boot from this drive :(

Pros: Fast, inexpensive.

Cons: Tray is a little flimsy -- but all new drives seem this way, even my new Plextor burner.

Other Thoughts: Older drives seemed more solid. Welcome to cost cutting.

Pros: It's a standard dvd player without the ability to burn dvd's or cd's. If you want a rig with two dvd players, can't go wrong with one of these and the other a burner.

Cons: None. I had a sata cable laying around. OH WAIT A SEC! I do have one con toward the egg. They always seem to be out of stock!!!!

Other Thoughts: I've used Liteon before and still do, seem to be very dependable. Get you some!
