Pros: Reliably burns DL DVDs. So far no coasters.

Cons: A little noisy.

Cons: Door stopped working after a few months. Clicks and whirrrs but nothing happens. Paper clip into the hole sometimes works.

Pros: Bought 21 months ago.

This drive is fast and quiet. It gets the job done.
No coasters so far.

Pros: Inexpensive, easy to install, did what I needed it to do (for a while).

Cons: Died after about a year and a half. If you get it, don't expect it to last much past its warranty.

Other Thoughts: I bought this to replace the Plextor drive I used when I originally built my system. That thing was great; lasted five years before I burned out the laser. I picked the Lite-On drive based primarily on its status as a Newegg Customer Choice Award winner, despite never having heard of the brand before. Now, my computer doesn't even recognize that it's plugged in.

After my Plextor did so well, it was a bit of a letdown for this Lite-On to die after just 18 months, even though it did outlast its warranty. Just disappointing. I expected more from a drive so highly recommended by Newegg users.

Pros: Never installed.

Cons: Poor support per reviews and attempt to contact Lite-On.

Pros: Great product. Runs quiet, quickly, efficiently, and reads/writes verbatim. (i.e. writes/reads at correct speeds, accurate read/write, etc...) Easily flashable and customizable.
Price is certaintly right.

Cons: none.

Pros: Great drive. Has many many uses ;)

Other Thoughts: Ive had this Writer for lil over a yeah now and it works just as fast and quite today as it did the day I put it in my case.
