Pros: I received rapid response when I returned this product.

Cons: Did not work in conjunction with an SATA to IDE adapter I purchased along with this drive. The power was on but my PC did not recognize its existence. Found an IDE drive for a couple bucks cheaper with free shipping and returned this drive for a refund.

Other Thoughts: Do not install on an IDE system, SATA only!!

Pros: Good overall burner, does the job.

Cons: A bit loud, no software or SATA cable.

Other Thoughts: Building with an Antec white case, needed a burner, with a face plate other than black. Before, could only find beige, now only black, this beige ALMOST right for the case - LOL

Pros: It's a SATA drive made by Sony. I have always had good luck with Sony CD / DVD drives.

Cons: Not Sony's fault, but mine arrived in bubble wrap with the eject button broken off.

Other Thoughts: I had to RMA for a new drive, and since they are out of gray - I asked for black.
