Pros: Awesome...reads everything I throw in it...burns without a hitch...I have Nero 7, so I haven't tried the free Nero 8 Essentials that comes with the burner...BUT...it comes FREE with the burner...even if it IS only a demo program...it's free people...get a grip and appreciate it. This thing works excellent...quiet and fast...and no coasters. Sony makes excellent products, and I would buy this again in a heartbeat.

Cons: None to speak of...I guess I wasn't thrilled that it's not free?

Other Thoughts: Buy it...install it...use it...love it.

Pros: Great optical drive. I bought two and installed in two different computers. Went in and worked great without a hitch. Burns cd's with no problem, and quieter than all my older drives.

Pros: haven't found a pro about this burner since it quit working after two burns

Cons: it quit working.... got to love bad stuff out of the box that just seems to take a dive right after thirty days

Cons: Could not run, burn, or read, any type of disk. To be fair Sony support was excellent in trying to diagnose the problem which resulted in Sony telling me to RMA the drive to Newegg.

Newegg was great in the RMA except I never saw the $20.00 shipping credit they promised when I replaced it with an LG in a new order.

Pros: Nice and quite unit. It comes with Nero 8 Essentials. Super price.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Even though it came clear from Edison, NJ it arrived in a timely manner even though it was over the holidays. As long as Newegg keeps up this great quality of service, I will be a loyal customer. Thanks Newegg!!

Pros: Drive burns at full speed, even on my aging 1.6Ghz Single Core Pentium4. And you can't beat the price.

Cons: None that I can think of. It installed easily and was automatically recognized by the BIOS and by Windows XP.

Other Thoughts: I love Newegg!

Pros: No problems with install, booted right up and was immediately recognized. Installed on a 2002 Gateway E-4000 series. Works like a charm with Windows 7 Beta.

Cons: None at this time.

Other Thoughts: Have not burned with this Drive yet, I bought it as an upgrade from CD-Burner because I wanted to install Windows 7, was more cost effective to go with DVD Burner than just as DVD-ROM drive. I will post if any problems occur.

Pros: Bought this to replace my read only DVD drive that was bad. Very simple install even for me, and it works great. Already had Nero 7.0 installed so it was plug and play. This was my first purchase from Newegg and I'm really satisfied with the product, price, and speed of shipping. Thanks.
