The LG GSA-H62NK 18X Super Multi drive reads and writes most DVD formats, and brings you dual-layer capability and LG build-quality. The drive connects via SATA. Great
- Pros: Great Product, no bugs or problems. Burns my CD's and DVD's nicely, and it came with a power cable, SATA cable and a Nero Express CD to get the drive up and running. No problems so far.
- Cons: None, worth the money, get a second if u have a chance.
- Other Thoughts: Best bang for the buck!!!
Just what I expected.
- Pros: Great drive! I've bought other LG drives and never had a problem with them. This one's performance is right on par. No major complaints. No coasters from about 28 burns with this one.
- Cons: As much as I like LG's series of drives, the only "bad" thing I can say about them is the spin up time. It still takes like 10-15 seconds to recognize the disc sometimes. Other than that, it's a perfect drive.
- Other Thoughts: Very happy with LG and their drives. Will keep buying them until things change.

DVD burner, yes
- Pros: Cheap DVD burner. Has a SATA connection and hasn't died. Burns just about everything I throw into it.
- Cons: Bigger cache would be nice, but for the price it is fine.
- Other Thoughts: If you need a dvd burner and want one for cheap that works and wont quit working for you then I would reconmend this product.
Piece of junk
- Pros: cheap...
- Cons: never burned a single CD. could rarely read one. has a difficult time (sometimes) reading DVDs. called manufacturer about a firmware update and there wasnt one when i called. sometimes spins and spins and spins... locking up my computer.
- Other Thoughts: it seems others had some issues as well. maybe its isolated.
oh well... shoulda stuck with LITE-ON
Money well spent
- Pros: I'm very happy with this drive. I needed an SATA DVD burner in black, and H-L Data Storage (LG brand) has served me well in the past, so I went with them again. I've burned several hundred DVDs and CDs with this, including a few DL DVD+RWs, and the only coaster came from a corrupt image.
- Cons: I should have bought two for on-the-fly, disc-to-disc burning! Vibrates a bit more than I'm used to--thankfully, it's in in a sturdy case.
- Other Thoughts: I've had 9 different optical drives over the years, plus this one. 6 still work, 4 of which are H-L Data Storage (Hitachi-LG) and 2 are Pioneer. The 3 dead ones were 1 Verbatim (didn't actually die, just decided to start making only coasters) and 2 Samsungs.
