great drive
- Pros: used to replace a damaged drive ob an Asus Z61a. Easy installation and wondows likes it very much - Thank you.
- Cons: The typical OEM but you get what you pay for. I read another review about no support on LG website. Thats a bit disturbing and seems manufacturer would make efforts to help those with OEMs as well as retail customers.
- Other Thoughts: Part of my decision was based on having software from other LG drives I own. That and the simplicity of ordering from Newegg. If something works, Im happy. Easy to please here.
Great HP Pavilion DV6426us Replacement Product
- Pros: Replace the DVD Drive in my HP laptop, it works great! Removed the stock face plate and put the old face plate from original hp dvd drive without any problem.
- Cons: none

My First Newegg RMA
- Pros: Newegg shipped with great speed, packaging was great, also. Product Rating is very high!!
- Cons: After reading past reviews about installing this in a Toshiba (which has BIG compatability probs), i decided this was the ONE... I was wrong, Windozs wouldn't recognize it, and after clikin' around the 'net i found it was a Master/Slave (CSEL) problem, not with the Drive, but the way Toshiba assigns their Pins (way different then other Laptop Manufactures)
- Other Thoughts: Altho, i think Toshiba makes a great Laptop, however this may be my last.... maybe they should take a hint and built 'tops that are more universal (in regard to replacement parts), and not so Brand "picky"
One other thought.... i did try this burner in 2 other laptops... with no problems!!
