Pros: Price

Cons: It did not work and for what ever reason it is DARK BLUE not Black. The replacement is a repair and is noisy. Unfortunately I couldn't use my old IDE drive (nice and quiet) because it is a straight SATA board.

Other Thoughts: I am not sure if HP messed up or if Newegg did. never had an issue like this before so we will say HP jacked it up. I get the burner and the bottom of package has been opened and resealed. Now this is a box in side the NewEgg box. I think whatever and do the install I notice this isn't Black, then I get my rig up and going to find all the drive does is blink wont open nothing NOW I have a "repaired/replaced" drive that is still not black and is noisy so I SAY "EPIC FAIL" not that maybe the actual drive is bad if you get a new, but something is a miss with mine and it happend along the way and I had to pay :/

Pros: I always can trust SamSung to deliver. Works great, Light Scribe, quiet, Nero 10, plug N play what can I say.

Cons: no problems so far
