5 out of 5 eggsGreat printer for price

Pros: Easy to use, great for low volume printing. Toner cartridges cost about $30 each, so yes you could buy a whole new printer if buying a complete set of four.

Cons: Not the best graphics printer

Other Thoughts: Had to replace the paper sensor. Bought 6 of them from Newark and had to modify it to install, but hey at $1.75 each pretty economical!

5 out of 5 eggsIt's not a shark but it does have a "laser"

Pros: Easy set up, no jams, or other difficulties. Prints fast.

Cons: It wasn't free.

Other Thoughts: Replaced one of those HP all-in-one jobs that wouldn't feed paper at all that my wife just HAD to have. I still use the stupid thing as a scanner as this is just a printer.

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage

Pros: The first one worked for almost 2 entire months.

Cons: I had one and it worked for 8 months and broke. There was still toners left so I bought another new one.

The second one I bought broke after 2 months. I RMA'd it to samsung who sent me a replacement, and here's the kicker - the replacement had unprinted pcb boards! PCB with no circuits, what!? RMA'd it again and got another printer which worked for 3 months. I'm going to go RMA it again today only because I have another set of toners to use and they cost almost as much as the printer.

Also, the toners register as empty when they still have a LOT of toner left. And a set of toners is only $20 short of a new printer so samsung is clearly out to screw customers with this printer. The waste toner container will be almost completely full before the toners run out, it seems more toner goes into the waste container than on the page.

Other Thoughts: Samsung's customer support is awful. I put in a support ticket and received an automated email about how to program a samsung tv remote. Each RMA is a brutal process and the printer has to be RMA'd every 2-3 months. This printer is very lightly used so this is completely inexcusable. It's not due to paper feed breakage or any reasonable cause, the error light will just turn on one day and then it never works again.

This is a terrible printer I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I wish I could give it zero eggs, even one is too many. No more Samsung products for me, ever.

4 out of 5 eggsIt's a printer that prints :D

Pros: Well it prints, quality is good.

Cons: Slow to print, takes a while to warm up and factory toners get used up like there's no tomorrow...

Other Thoughts: I also like the new lazer printer smell...

1 out of 5 eggsDON'T Purchase

Pros: It prints but VERY SLOWLY

Cons: Not only it prints very slowly but it also looses pages.
If I have multiple documents to print I have to wait for every page to be printed individually and REPRINT the once that vanished. No error messages of any kind, some pages never print.
I use MAC Book PRO with advanced graphic card and plenty of ram and HD to handle my photo editing and other printers.
Buy anything else but this piece of *&%$!

1 out of 5 eggsBUYER BEWARE

Pros: Cheap start up
Ink reasonable cost compared to rest of market (though there are cheaper out there)

Cons: Imaging unit goes bad within several months which costs the same as the printer.
Premature ink depletion notification

Other Thoughts: We have used this printer for basic printing, and have found that the imaging unit goes bad VERY Quickly leading to a big investment ($130) every couple months. If you add this up, you are better off buying a new 315 unit every few months all things considered, right? What a rip off.
This is not a defect either, we have purchased several of these printers in the last year with the noted strategy and every single one of the imaging units go bad within several months... UNBELIEVABLE!
YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!

1 out of 5 eggsDev Home Error

Pros: Cheap color laser printer.

Cons: Cheap. For the past year has developed an intermittent "Dev Home Error" that renders the printer useless. Error has increased in frequency and the printer is now a brick. Printer has been lightly used, and squeeks during printing.

Do yourself a favor and search for "samsung dev home error" before deciding to spend your hard-earned money on this printer.

5 out of 5 eggsexcellent gift

Pros: price, features!

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: I bought this printer last Christmas for my parents. They've been using it at least once a week since and still haven't replaced the factory cartridges! Great price for what you get...
