5 out of 5 eggsWorks for us

Pros: Fast, quality prints, High Yield 12k+ page cartridge available.

Cons: Kinda expensive cartridges but what else is new.

Other Thoughts: I don't know what the problem is with the other buyers having so many issues with their printer but I work at a k12 school in the IT department and we have 6 of these printers in use for a year and never had an issue. Liked them well enough we bought 23 more.

2 out of 5 eggsBroke shortly after 1 year

Pros: Worked as a LJ printer as advertised.

Cons: Broke after just 15 months of light use.

They just don't make them like they used to. Stick to refurbished. Brother printers have cheaper toner and for us have lasted longer for considerably less total cost out of pocket.

1 out of 5 eggsPrinter Broke within 3 months

Pros: We bought this printer in December 2013, it broke after 3 months. The printer stopped printing and gave us an error message (51.10) within. When we searched the error they found out that the HP knows about it and yet they did not recall these printers. PLEASE READ ON:
51.10 Error- HP Laserjet P3015 Printer Laser Scanner Error
I ran into a HP laserjet P3015 printer with an 51.10 error on the display the other day. I decided after replacing the laser scanner assembly, HP LaserJet Enterprise P3015 Series Laser/Scanner Assembly, LJ P3015/M525mfp RM1-6322-000 to do some research on the internet to see if others were having the same problem. I was surprised to find out that several other people had complained of the same problem. Hewlett Packard, in the last few years has been known to cut corners and not do enough research before entering products into the market place. Hopefully, this problem on the P3015 is a few isolated instances and will not be an ongoing issue. In this article I’d like to talk a little bit about the 51.10 error in the HP P3015 printer and how to go about replacing the laser scanner unit if you have to.

Cons: Broke with 3 months

2 out of 5 eggsBad Cartridge was Shipped

Pros: Once I purchased a new toner cartridge for it worked great. The cartridge that was shipped to me could not be recognized by the printer. An err message kept appearing. After purchasing a new one from the store it worked just fine.

Cons: Came with a bad or faulty toner cartridge. Really frustrating to receive an item and not be able to use it before going shopping at another store for replacement parts

Other Thoughts: So far the printer seems to work great. I'd have given this a 4 or 5 star rating if not for the inconvenience and hassle of the bad cartridge. It's a waste of my money to buy a 'new' product only to have to go buy another new product because the one I received was broken.

1 out of 5 eggsNothing but headaches

Pros: All the pros are cancelled by the cons.

Cons: Defective, either in the design or elsewhere. (See comments)

Other Thoughts: We received this printer about 2 weeks ago and have been using it since. It was to replace our old HP 4250 that worked well for many years but finally died. This new HP 3015 has been nothing but trouble. I would say that about every 10th attempt to print results in a Data Received error. Every once in awhile it will print a document and then continue to reprint the same document over and over again until someone notices the problem and powers off the printer. And, that's just the beginning! HP support? No help. I predict this several hundred dollar box will end up in the dumpster within the next few weeks.

1 out of 5 eggsNot worth the Money...

Pros: Nice looking, Good specs on paper

Cons: No way can this printer hold up to 100,000 pages monthly as stated by HP… NO WAY !

If you plan to use this in any setting other than an occasional home printer, SAVE YOUR MONEY AND FRUSTRATION... move on and find another printer.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this printer from NewEgg through our company account. This was purchased for a Law firm secretary that prints all the time. This printer is rated at, and I quote directly from the specs page… “Up to 100,000 pages monthly” which is the EXACT reason this model was chosen.

This printer does not even come close to that rating. Considering how many times this printer JAMS repeatedly in a day, it would be a MAJOR Accomplishment to be able to print even half that number… As long as you are willing and able to sit right by the printer and reset it every few moments to keep the print jobs going.

DO YOUR RESEARCH ON THIS MODEL… Known jamming issues ! If I could get my money back I would in a minute. Don't make the same mistake I did.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Printer

Pros: Fast & quiet. I have had far more expensive printers in the past and this one by far out performs them.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Printer was easy to set up and operate. Tray 2 conveniently holds a whole ream of paper. Duplex printing saved a lot of paper. Processed and prints quickly. During the time of ownership I can count the number of legitimate jams on one hand. Printer allowed full use of ink cartridges, I've had previous experience with printers that tell you the ink is gone and refuses to print when there's still 1/4 of the cartridge.

Cons: After 10 months of use (small business) the printer began to regularly phantom jam in Tray 2. However, the unit could have been returned under the manufacturer's warranty at this time.

Other Thoughts: After 14 months Tray 2 discontinued to operate. The manufacturer's warranty was void as of 2 months ago. Luckily we had purchased the extended warranty. I filed a claim on Tuesday and shipped the unit in that evening. By Friday Newegg had refunded the purchase price. I've known Newegg to have excellent customer service, I was surprised to find that the extended warranty does as well!
