Decent but Creative has sabotaged Vista drivers
- Pros: An OK entry level sound card. Cheap. A viable solution for WinXP x86 users.
- Cons: Driver support on Vista is practically non existent. Yes there are newer Vista x86\x64 drivers however functionality has been purposely reduced on Vista while using any card under the Sound Blaster X-Fi. The features that this card offers in WinXP will not be able to be seen in Vista. Creative has purposely sabotaged their drivers as to force you to buy new hardware every time a new Windows operating system is released. This is not speculation but fact and Creative themselves have admitted that this is a "business decision".
- Other Thoughts: I have given this one egg because no matter how wonderful or innovative a piece of hardware is without proper driver support it doesn't matter (just ask Intel). Things are tough all over, money is tight but Creative purposely sabotaging their drivers to force people to upgrade and buy newer more expensive hardware is totally 100% unacceptable. Do a Google search for "Creative Daniel K" for the whole story on this. I own two Creative sound cards currently (one being a $200 X-Fi) I will choose one of their competitors next time instead. Creative have brought this on themselves with deceptive business practices and awful driver support.
Good card, for the price that is.
- Pros: I purchased this sound card from a overpriced retailer over one year ago, still sounds and works as good as the day I first installed it. Sound quality is good if you enable the options that is.
- Cons: It's not actually 24 bit when you first install it, You need to enable that using the drivers from the disk, the drivers that you download from the website don't have the option to change that. Same with sound quality, you need to turn the options up to get the good sounding sounds. the car has no internal processor so it saps your CPU a bit when you have all the options on. Running Fear combat with full audio quality sounds amazing, but it really takes about 20 FPS off of my gameplay.
- Other Thoughts: Pretty small, I bent one or two of the capacitors on the side at a lan, survived many falls while in transport very solid, has some more advanced looking features that I never bothered with, I just put in the headset and that's as good as my sound system ever got.

Works as expected
- Pros: Cheap and works well. Its good for just basic sound.
- Cons: None
Gets the job done
- Pros: Good sound card. Inexpensive. Quality sound.
- Cons: Does not provide connection to front panel audio for Antec 900
- Other Thoughts: Can't beat the price/quality on this one.
- Pros: Sound output is adequate
- Cons: I have Windows XP SP 3 and I never found the right drivers to make this device work. I went through the driver CD, the product website, and even did some research of my own on Google. I was never able to find the entire suite of drivers to make this device work properly. If all you're looking for is just sound, then this is the device for you. If you're looking to use the mic with ventrilo or teamspeak, you're in for a huge disappointment. I would NOT recommend this device for XP users.
