5 out of 5 eggsGreat DSLR Starter

Pros: First time owner of a dlsr camera and I am loving it. Takes amazing pictures and is pretty light and compact to take on trips. It has tons of different settings to adjust so I will be busy for a while trying to figure out which settings are best for each situation.

Cons: No auto bracketing for taking hdr images, but you can do it manually so not a big deal. Neck strap is a little difficult to get through the holes.

Other Thoughts: If you are into taking hdr images this camera does an amazing job. If you have photoshop I would suggest getting topaz to create your hdr images.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Picture Clarity/Quality

Pros: Tons of settings, too many for me to list off the top of my head honestly. Takes absolutely beautiful macro pictures, despite the fact that the lens that come with it aren't designed for it.

Cons: The strap is annoyingly hard to get on there.
No way to charge without moving the battery.
Not very many functions compared to it's next-step up.

Other Thoughts: All in all, I love this camera; it was an awesome purchase for an entry level photographer.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome...

Pros: 10.2 MP
Easy to find additional lenses (F Mount lenses are widely available)
Large LCD
Beefy, feels good in my hands / comfortable to hold and shoot
Nice software bundle included
It's a Nikon
Lots of features built in

I ordered this camera Tuesday evening. Slightly less than 48 hours later, the battery was charged, and I was playing around with it shooting pix in my livingroom. I've done alot of business with Newegg, and they never fail to satisfy. Quality merchandise. Quality service. Newegg rawks.

Cons: None that make me regret my purchase.

The LCD display is pretty cluttered, information overload. A lot of buttons, and a 190 page user manual. This is my first high end digital camera. I'm kind of befuddled by it all.

Other Thoughts: I'm an amature / hobbyist photogragher. I've owned a Nikon FM2 35mm SLR for about 5 years. I also carry my FujiFilm FinePix 2.0 MP digital with me for point-and-shoot moments.

This camera is a huge leap upwards for me, in as far as the type of cameras I am used to. Flipping through the user manual, I fear there will be a steep learning curve for figureing out how to use the camera to it's full potential.

I'm kind of disappointed that none of my old manual focus F Mount lenses work with it (or at least I can't figure out how to set the D60 up to use them... yet).

Taking into consideration my first impression with this camera, and my overall satisfaction with Newegg's service, I have to say I'm a very happy camper!

5 out of 5 eggsMy First DSLR

Pros: This is my first DSLR so I'm a bit biased.. almost as fast and my Olympus and Minolta 35mm SLR. I love the features, probably should have purchased the kit with the additional 55-200mm lens but I love the camera. Bought 8GB Kingston class 6 SDHC cards with the camera. Absolutely amazing especially at such low price. Last time I checked the camera was a few hundred more than I paid.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: The only thought is that this camera uses SDHC cards instead of compact flash. So its a bit slower but I tried the extreme SDHC cards (133X) and I don't have enough experience to tell the difference between the SDHC and compact flash just yet. But the price was awesome and when I'm ready to step up to another model I'm sure I will be back here shopping for my new Nikon.

5 out of 5 eggsAwsome Buy

Pros: Great camera fits very well in my hand, it very light and small for a DSLR. Takes superb photos even with kit lens. went with the Nikon D60 mainly cause the cost/performance ,the accessories available for this camera i feel are a lot better than the Canon XS or XSi. things like wireless remote and the nikon creative lighting system is great just remember with this camera to use creative lighting your going to need the SB800 or SB900 the D60 doesnt have a built in flash commander but really your are going to want one of those flashes anyway with the D80 or anyother nikon for that matter. this is a great camera i didnt get mine off the egg cause shipping to APO is to much and was cheaper to get at my BX (sry Newegg your still my favorite though).

Cons: Nikon should give you there NX2 photo software for free i mean people are dropping this much on a camera how about some free software to edit our pictures Nikon!!

Other Thoughts: Buy a fast SD card no matter what even if you think you wont use continuous shooting. you just might one day. be prepared to buy at least 2 more lenses the kit one is a great middle lens but your going to want some better ones for zoom and what not. BUY IT great camera

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little camera!

Pros: Great metering for novices, punchy colors, good high ISO, nice handling for a compact DSLR.

Cons: Considering its target market, I really have nothing bad to mention.

Other Thoughts: I'm a professional photographer shooting with a D3, D2xs, D200IR and the occasional F100. My wife is getting into photography, and is tired of the sluggishness of compacts, and the poor quality of images in low light scenes (and her b-day is coming up too). I've played around with a friend's D60, and then with my sister's D60, and thought this camera would fit the bill nicely. Newegg had the best deal I could find, so it was a no brainer for me.
